Some 50k Chinese from Wuhan left for Singapore, Hongkong, South Korea, Japan and Thailand before the lock down on Jan 23.The new travels from these Asian countries can spread the virus. 5 infected Britons left Singapore for France got sick then 100 other contact people from a ski resort had quarantine few days ago!

For the infected cruise Diamond Princess in Japan, only one sick tourist passed virus to 136 people in 5 days or one infected spreading to 2.6 other people daily. With 8 people got sick in Wuhan, ezhou, and huangang [3 cities in one about 20 millions] from Dec 8, you can figure out the real result until the lock down on Jan 23.

I think about dress like the greys by spraying waterproof fluid over my Husky sport clothes and make a clear head mask with a small interior air filter, hearing aid and water shoes for protection from this respiratory virus. However, I cannot find an excellent flexible clear fabric yet. Thanks for any recommend
 
There is a population petitioning for Tedros’ resignation. WHO is a neutral agency. Tedros’ is not demonstrating that in his decisions throughout this crisis.
Medicine and politics don’t mix in a crisis.
 
The basis of their concern is legitimate. I could add some. *It was about two months before a WHO advance team was sent to the origin of outbreak.
My guess is that he won’t be present for the next crisis.

Could be forthcoming…too early in the game. Time will tell. Change of hands in the midst of crisis won’t work. His actions and inactions are duly noted.

January 7th WHO confirmed that China identified the virus.

JANUARY 17 CDC ORDERS SCREENING AT 3 MAJOR US AIRPORTS

January 22 WHO field visit to China

February 10 WHO advanced team visit to China.

Just saying…thank goodness for CDC…offset alota’ grief.
It is common knowledge that China has hidden important medical information from the world in the past (SARS). I’m sure that Tedros’ slow response doesn’t ring well in the medical community.

The CDC and the WHO have different authority. The WHO does not have the authority to order screening at US airports. Apples and oranges.

I am not sure why the CDC would expect an invite into China. China has accepted WHO (international) to visit and assist where able - why have two separate entities - would cause confusion.

Also one of those ships that is carrying flu carriers, I understand, one ship was denied docking in a number of ports. That’s very interesting also.

I must add, so much to read, I even saw a headline questioning whether coronavirus could go through the plumbing pipes, something like that.

US has offered to send their best.
United States is the undisputed global leader in biopharmaceutical research.
