And I can’t understand why this is defended.

I love my husband very much. If he suggested this I would tell him he was incorrect. If my older relatives suggested this, I’d make sure they knew not to ingest Clorox. I would keep it out of reach of my children.

Trump says it, it’s wrong. But instead of saying he was wrong, it’s defended. I’m the bad one for thinking it’s wrong.

It’s every time. For every thing.

It’s ok to say he’s wrong about things. He’s not infallible.

I think it might have been a sarcastic musing. People are too serious about hanging on to every word that comes out of his mouth. A lot of what Trump says is distasteful, like every other president, and I don’t agree with it. But I like what he is doing for this country.

We should focus on the issues. Obviously Trump doesn’t think we should be injecting ourselves with disinfectant.

Please point out the exact place Trump said to ingest bleach during the press conference?
 
I have watched it several times. Disinfectant. I watch Cuomo too.

Why would I defend this?

He made a mistake. (He probably meant antibiotics in the sense of an anti-viral “antibiotic” like Tamiflu is.
Instead he used the term “disinfectants”.)
I don’t know. He would have to speak for himself.
Clearly this statement is not being “supported”.
At least by this Trump “supporter”.

There’s a whole new field of linguistics; Trumpsemeantics, where you take some of his bizarre ramblings and reassemble them in such a way as you can say “He didn’t say what he actually said, he actually meant the exact opposite.”

It’s like Orwellian Newspeak, except to make dumb statements sound smart.

Your accusations of cultish behavior are inappropriate and completely insulting. To all the anti Trump faction, nothing he did or said would ever be okay. Holding news conferences daily is bad, if he never held them it would be just as bad. If he did them once a week he would be accused of not doing them enough and hiding things from the public. There is no way he will win with the Trump haters and he is smart enough to not even try.

I think Trump has said all this to deflect from another issue, get people talking about one error rather then something else.

The bottom line is it is not ok to run that kind of a meeting, a public meeting. There is a reason countries and disinfectant//bleach manufacturers are now scrambling to say Trump was wrong and dont try this at home.

But hey, in his own words, I am not a doctor but I have a good you know , whilst pointing at his brain.

This seems like misdirection. Nobody says there shouldn’t be daily press conferences. Several jurisdictions are doing them. The criticism is Trump’s inability to just stand there and let experts talk. He has to preface actual medical information with gibberish.

Trump took a question from a reporter basically asking the president to clarify.
The response had two ingignant assertions.

Somehow Trump’s supporters are “True Believers” and cultists while Biden/Obama gaffe defenders are just being reasonable.

Nobody really thinks Trump wants people to inject themselves with disinfectant.

Trump True Believers and Biden devotees are both backing the wrong horse IMO. As much as I think Trump is a terrible politician…Biden is far worse in so far as his support of abortion goes. Condemning Biden for abortion and expressing concern over his many gaffes doesn’t validate Trump’s many confusing, baffling, incorrect, or stupid comments.
