Coronavirus: Disinfectant firm issues warning after Trump comments

We don’t all have the same Scripture, however. For Judaism, HaSatan is NOT our enemy, but rather our Tempter and our Accuser, among other things, who forces us to cling more tightly to our faith in G-d. HaSatan does the “dirty work” of G-d; there is no oppostion between the forces of good and evil. G-d Himself created EVERYTHING. Other religions have different ideas about Satan altogether, if they even have such a concept in their theology. We live in a country with diverse theological perspectives, even within Christianity itself, with regard to a myriad of political, social, and moral issues including abortion and same-sex marriage. Diversity is one of the beautiful things about our country. When are we going to recognize this and behave accordingly instead of living only in our own private cocoon like some ultra-Orthodox Jews, Evangelicals, and Catholics? I will always take the stand in favor of religious liberty rather than pitting one religion’s beliefs against another’s.

Many of us think the media and people like yourself’s hysteria over it is what makes it dangerous, not the comment itself.
My hysteria over what exactly? Just who is ‘many of us’?

I find people who have to qualify their statements with the idiom ’ many of us’ will use that idiom because they know their argument doesnt have enough flesh to stand alone, so they incorporate an idiom for crowd support. The crowd support imperative.

Fact is Trump made an incredibly erroneous statement and then attempted to wipe it by claiming he deliberately directed it as sarcasm to reporters. Unfortunately for him, video evidence shows he was being very serious and genuine in directing a genuine statement to his own government medical team. He was not addressing reporters at that time, but clearly his medical team. How do we know this, because its in full color on tape.

I dont need an idiom like ’ many of us’ to distinguish truth from coverup.

And, as “many of us” know (!), the cover-up is often worse than the crime: just ask Bill Clinton and the late Richard Nixon.

So Donald Trump made a weird mistake. I think we should now get over it and resume the business of getting our country back on track, which includes, in large part, effectively fighting the spread of the virus so that we can re-open the economy.

I have seen the comment made here, spoken to my extended family who agrees with, and seen the same sentiment posted in the Coronavirus topic on the Political Message board at russellstreetreport.com, arguably the most popular Baltimore Ravens message board. That’s who I refer to. If that bothers you, not sure what to tell you. You can go complain to them too.

I simply think your exact reaction is silly, neurotic hysteria, like most reactions I have observed since he entered the race in 2015. I love him as a president, disagree with a number of things he has said, still fewer that he has done, but I roll my eyes at reactions to these comments from people like you.

And what is the end game, even if I agreed with you? Does he lose my vote? Of course not. There are much bigger things stake in my opinion, and I think for any of Trump’s flaws, Biden and the Democrats agenda would be infinitely worse. So keep pointing out Trump’s flaws, and sometimes I’ll agree with you, and sometimes I won’t. None of them have yet to rise to the level of overwhelming Biden’s fractured mind or the democrats at-times diabolic beliefs and platform. Thanks.

My reaction to what exactly? Which reaction specifically are you quaintly rolling your eyes at , as you put it.
but I roll my eyes at reactions to these comments from people like you.
Again you are using the crowd support imperative. You are also making a grand stand at attempting to ‘other’ me with your new statement ’ people like me’

Stop trying to change the topic with comments like this one below about a political rival, It has nothing to do with the topic
None of them have yet to rise to the level of overwhelming Biden’s fractured mind or the democrats at times diabolic beliefs and platform. Thanks.

Boss asks for something, you know it is a command politely stated, not a “if you feel like it” question.
A bit off topic, but I remember a person that worked in education that had to train new educators about some cultural difference. One had to do with commands worded as request. Some teachers thought students from a certain cultural were being disrespectful for not doing something they were “told.” The teachers had to be brought to understanding that a sentence like “wouldn’t you like to put up the toys now?” was interpreted as a literal sense; a request for want someone wants and the “No” that followed was the answer to the question. Without the training the teacher saw this as a child being disobedient.

I would think it would be harder work having to translate his incoherent ramblings so they didn’t mean what the most literal interpretation suggests he is saying. No Sola Trumptura for Republicans!

You never mentioned why I spend to much energy.
The shoot someone statement requires vigilance. A man who opperates as close to the line of legal/ illegal as he can get away with, and people who support him in a way that he can test the line without consequences. People like General Kelly and others confirm this first hand even though it is obvious.
He requires somebody watch. As I see it he fired those people and tormented them when he could, as a business practice. Which is what is expected when that is your MO.
There is nothing wrong with holding politicians accountable. Especially in this case where the politicians supporters hold him accountable for nothing. That is the point of him making the 5th Ave comment.

Yes but try to live with people who don’t agree with you and who you will never agree with. Trump in my opinion is by far the worst president I have ever seen.
By far the least competent and knowledgeable.
By far the least empathetic
By far the most vindictive.
And I don’t like those qualities.
And yet I do not ascribe his qualities to you.

Wow!This coming from someone who consistently displays a lack of charity towards our president…interesting🤨

I think he is a great politician,
That is the one thing I will agree with. The problem is that most of the worst leaders in history were great politicians, and a few of the really good ones. As to his conversion, I will no speculate. I have no noticed any humility yet though. He has even called himself genius. Then he asks a question like this. 🤣

I didn’t say toward our president. I am critical of the president. You didn’t read what I wrote I think.

A) Humility is one but one aspect of a faith-filled Christian, not that I disagree with your take on him.
B) Whether or nor you think his question was prudent, worthy of being asked, or feel it was inappropriate, what does that have to do with his conversion?

No one based Paul’s conversion on an IQ test, nor is Mike Pence, a known devout Christian, immune to saying dumb things.

I have a friend that thinks most people are too direct. Occupationally incan understand why she will not infer meaning and intent (she is a lawyer). But in non professional settings she demands the same even of strangers. What I find strange about it is that she can understand the intent of a person, but will not apply that understanding and leaves it up to another person to figure out that a specific syntax of their request is needed for the response they want.

Thus, something like “I need to get to that elevator” she will treat as a person sharing useless information while understanding the intent is a request to allow passage. Until the person specifically ask to get by she won’t move.

But this may be a different situation entirely since there is an understanding of the person’s intent.
