Trump to Anderson Cooper on Cruz’s reluctance to support him as nominee:

“I watched how tormented Cruz was when you asked him the question.
I don’t want his support, I don’t need his support, I don’t want to make him uncomfortable.”

👍 From the article:
“Ted Cruz is a principled constitutional conservative who understands that power belongs to the states — and to the people — and not bureaucrats in Washington”
Can’t have that. 😉

Kidding. 🙂 But anyhow, watching this,
Cruz Hits CNN for Giving Trump ‘Hours of Free Media’ — Right After, Cooper Fires Sharp Response Back

makes me wonder – and I’m not defending CNN, FoxNews, etc for how much “free advertising” they have done for Trump – why Cruz hasn’t accepted more interview offers. Anyone?

Cruz accidentally mentioned . . . . my home state of Florida then went on to say at “Fort Hood” in the same context

I just watched it. Cruz isn’t confused and this is not “speaking style”.

It was just a verbal " typo".

That’s all.

Everybody makes them.

Carping about Cruz’s eyes and looks and complaining about things like this is not a persuasive argument against Senator Cruz.

If you’ve got little boys, you’ve probably called one by his own brother’s name in haste accidentally.

As we sort out candidates, we want them to focus on real substantive issues.

We should do the same.

There is a lot of irony in Obama criticizing Cruz for being like the oppressive dictator that has just being cuddling up with.
If Cruz really was like Castro, then Obama would love him to death.
Ted Cruz is no dictator. To be dictator, one has to want massive government power for him/herself.

In fact, it’s impossible by the standards of political science to be a small-government conservative and a dictator.

Can Trump afford to criticize another candidate on THEIR speaking style?
Yes, because he’s only saying what many of us think to ourselves. Cruz speaks like a lawyer through and through, while trump sounds like a normal person. Part of the reason many can’t warm up to cruz.

Yet another reason not to vote for Cruz.
Let’s not pretend that you were ever going to vote for Cruz. You wouldn’t even vote for a VERY moderate GOP candidate like Romney. It doesn’t matter how moderate the GOP nominee is, you will vote for the leftist on the ballot. Your vote was never up for consideration anyway.

You are nearly correct. I might make an exception for Kasich; but his nomination is a long shot.

Trump does speak like a person, but I’m not so sure he speaks like a “normal” person. He often contradicts himself, sometimes in the same sentence. Is this normal? Perhaps according to current standards of normality.

To me, he sounds like a “fire and brimstone” preacher. Very off-putting.

I didn’t like the way he danced around the questions people would ask at last night’s Town Meeting. Anderson Cooper would try to bring him back to topic, but to no avail.

Your vote for him would almost certainly not affect the actual delegate counts (even assuming that NY has open primaries) but it would affect the “popular vote”.

I noticed that as well. Trump is a good dancer, if not the best speaker. His answer to the question concerning the government’s role in healthcare and education was contradictory within the same breath, as if he is trying to please everyone at the same time. Either his thought process is confused or he is attempting to master the art of politics, or both.

I think it’s both, but that’s just my opinion.

We knew at the outset of this process we could never support Hillary Clinton. It did not take us long to definitively conclude we could not support Donald Trump. The field is now clear enough for us to unambiguously support Ted Cruz.
I know what you’re thinking, “What are they, Catholic or something?!”

Good article!
Also from this article:
“Ted Cruz has a consistent record of supporting pro-life causes, of supporting religious freedom, and of supporting marriage. And, despite what the tabloids say, has by all trustworthy reports conducted himself as a good husband and father.”

I’m solidly behind Cruz. I think right now he is the best candidate, strongly pro-life that has a chance of winning and can beat Hillary.
Plus he is consistently pro-life, pro-family.
