I feel like a human barometer 😠. Every major change in the weather always seems to aggravate my aches and pains 😠. But, yeah… yay, Spring!
And don’t get me started on the stupid time change 😠. Boo, time change!

Father’s homily at Mass last night challenged us about our level of zeal for the liturgy. I was feeling achy and impatient, admittedly not very zealous 😣.

I would kind have thought your climate wouldn’t agrivated athritis(?) christofirst ? I wonder about climates and health conditions associated with it.

It can make someone feel worse. ☹️

People who have certain types of arthritis in their bodies can be affected by the weather.

When it’s cold and damp here by the lake, it can make my husband feel more achy with the arthritis that he has in his back.

Oh I can very well understand ,my mum has some atheritis OGM and some cold nights my feet can ache .Out of all of us christofirst is the only one displaying the correct curmudgian expression,so I’m commending him on that. ❤️

Now that I’ve had my breakfast and coffee, I’m feeling considerably less whiny!

One of my old bosses used to frequently tell me, “If you didn’t have pain, you wouldn’t know you were alive.” He was a tall, lanky character who reminded me of a Viking. He used to ride with a motorcycle gang called the Sons of Satan! 👹

Another fellow I worked with was still hanging drywall in his late 50s. I asked him if he was bothered by aches and pains, since I was already feeling them in my 40s. He assured me that aches and pains increase exponentially with age 😠. He was right 😡.

I have to have breakfast before I post…last week I was like a different person before I ate …I sounded slightly snarky and school mam-ish (an old fashioned one,Gertie,)

Back when I was a kid, whenever my family used to take long trips in the car, my parents would start to argue after a few hours. I realize now it was mostly because my dad was hungry, and that made him crabby. My mom has always had a very meager appetite, and she never wanted to stop for food. Looking back, bringing some food along in the car would have made sense, but they rarely did that. Maybe they secretly enjoyed arguing 😠.

Pretty sure I read many minor disputes are often a result of being low in blood sugar levels or something .
My mother ,for as long as I can remember ,has always carried Jellybeans or barly sugar in her handbag or
In the car.I used to pack food for drives, sandwiches ,biscuits, fruit but the past few years the teenagers are not so keen on sandwiches.
Have a nice Sunday 🙂

My family went on a lot of shopping-type of day trips.

We had a large car, back in the day of large sedans.

We would all go out for the day after going to an early Sunday morning Mass.

We’d go out for lunch and shopping.

It was a lot of fun because my maternal Gramma and her sister would also be with us, but everyone would be asleep in the car on the way home, except for my Dad–who was driving–and except for me, who would sometimes be sitting up front in the middle squeezed next to him in the middle of the bench seat.

I think that those heavy lunch buffets back in the day, put everyone to sleep in the car on the way back home! 😁

My parents never really argue. At least not were I could hear it. 😉

The closest they get to an argument is a good-natured ribbing at each other here and there.

Here in the United States (except the weirdos in Arizona):

Ugh. 🤨

When I looked this up yesterday, the first hit in my Google search said the clocks would change on March 25 – so I looked it up again this morning and checked several sites, and yep, it’s next Sunday.

I hate this clock changing thing. Why can’t we just keep our clocks in one position all year?

Well it does help me remember how to change the time in my car.
Indiana used to be the same as Arizona but now we do change. The Indiana time fights are legendary.

I remember seeing some of those time fights on the tellie. Here’s how the state legislature finally resolved the issue:

I do a lot of interaction with a design group in Arizona, and have been there 3 times this year. I like it when they don’t change because then the times are the same.

It could be worse. We could be in Australia, where time zones appear to be assigned by chance. There’s a time zone in the center that is either 90 minutes ahead of the time zone to the west and 30 minutes behind the time zone to the east.

Yeah I noticed that. However, it’s a 6 hour drive from my house to where I go in Az. The drive from CA to Australia is a bit more challenging.

Besides, the car got pretty wet the last time I tried to drive to Australia. Had to turn around somewhere still in Northern Pacific.

Last time I sailed, it was in an 86 gun Ship of the Line. Those were the days!

When I used to take the long flight from Melbourne to
Singapore (or Sri Lanka) to London, I half kind of wanted to go by ship to get a better understanding of distance .Im sure there would have been so many ports visited and it would have taken forever, but still…
I’ve never been on a cruise, but I have been on ferrys between Wales,Ireland and Scotland .Some of the trips were a bit rough

🤢
