That could conceivably have been me at one point. Maybe. Do you have any proof?
I’m on Spring break. I spent the evening eating Tiny But Mighty popcorn and reading. Tomorrow I have a breakfast date with my Protestant friends. Later I’m signed up for a massage, and then in the evening, a haircut.
Ta, I must get some sleep before this grueling schedule.
You wedding planners will have to do without me.

I was starting to get pretty worried about getting old, with no one to care for me and to tidy up after me, but now that I’ve got an online girlfriend/fiancé, who both likes my music and isn’t bothered by my lack of intelligence and the enormous gap in our ages, things are really looking up! :roll_eyes:

I think it’s funny how we make assumptions about people’s gender, age, race here on CAF.

A few years back I met a local CAF member for mass. He was not ANYTHING like I expected. When I met him, I realized I’d been expecting some hefty, tall, dark-skinned man, but he was my height, thin (athletic like a runner), and so white he was pink. 😄

I also remember one member who lives in France mentioning in a post that she’s Asian – everyone else on that thread replied with a “HUH???” We’d been chatting for months and months about life and our families. We’d all assumed she was, you know, more European. 😂

Can’t wait til we all meet in heaven, please God. We’re gonna need name tags with our CAF avatar!

So I’ve been looking online to get some ideas for the perfect wedding dress. As I have A LOT of toilet paper in the linen closet right now, I was thinking maybe this one:

But I also have A LOT of white wool, and I love to crochet and knit, so maybe this one is better:

Several advantages to this second one:
  1. I already know all the stitches needed.
  2. It’s completely modest
  3. Not much tailoring needed, except to the face hole in the correct spot.
 
The lower one that looks like a pill can double as a sleeping bag for the honeymoon ❤️
 
Ooohhh. I like the second one. That one might even pass muster on the current modesty thread.
 
I like that second one also. Who wouldn’t want to get married in a nice comfy slipper? If they are sportsy, they could use it later as a kayak liner in cold weather.

All righty then, the second one it is! I’ll have to find some other way of using the pine and lino… Maybe a cumberbund, vest, and bow tie combo?
 
I was going to express a preference, but as it’s not my wedding this time, I’m going to stay out and keep it that way. These things can turn very quickly. 😲

About that… you see, I was just assuming it was going to be a hippie wedding. You know, outdoors, maybe at the beach if the surf is good that day. Birkenstocks, cut-off shorts, tie-dye shirts, that sort of attire. I’m sure I can find an agreeable old radical priest leftover from the '60s to perform the ceremony.
 
In my slow sleep deprived mind this morning I read
Cucumber vest.That would go dandy with a cocoon dress …

(what the heck is a cumberbund?)
