Special loving prayers said for you dear Gov. ❤️

I “offer up” my own aches and pains for you right now, and ask God to answer your prayers for your financial needs…

He knows how hard you are trying…

Keep trying my friend…

As long as you keep trying, something is bound to happen. I firmly believe that, and that has been true for us. Things always have a way of working out, even when we keeping hanging by a thread.

God bless you! ❤️

There is something out there for you, Gov. Glad to see you back, and Gert also BTW. I’ll offer my creakiness now also; good idea OGM. This stupid aging nonsense needs to be good for someone.😡
We had a good Easter dinner today with my 3 who live in town and a couple of 2 year old grandchildren. They got the hang of looking for eggs very quickly and discovered that our main floor can be used as a race track.🐎 This required a lot of squealing as they went round and round.😳 Then they went home. Grandparenthood is the best.♥️

That’s cute,the races,
The aging thing …it’s curious alright …kind of horribly fascinating in the late 40’s…things like taking longer to shift weight,I look at food and grow, but I don’t actually eat very much.
And then everyone else around me growing rediculously young

What can make you feel old is when your kids look at a photo of you in your younger days and say “Gee Dad you were young once too.”

Leather hats? Now you’ve confused me. I can picture in my mind the leather ones, but AFAIK the most common is the Akubra, which is made of felt. Perhaps there are “Aussie” Outback hats in US stores which pretend that leather is more “genuine”.

In the sixties we played Cowboys and Indians. I don’t know what kids play these days, but I suspect Cowboys and Indians is politically incorrect, and also based on movies and TV shows which have been long forgotten. I’m sure they don’t play Cowboys and Aboriginals. 🤨

Welcome back, Gov, and thanks for all the news. Mixed blessings there! At least you’ve got a job, and that’s great about your first Easter as a fully Catholic family! ❤️

My Easter was good. Next year I’ll do a double Lent to make up for this year. 😊 Also, at 59 I’ll have one last year before my Lenten requirements are relaxed for old age. 😮

We used to play cow boys and Indians 🙂
There’s a photo of my older brother as an eight year old I think.sitting on a pony with cowboy hat, riding chaps and vest with a sheriffs star 😃

I’m not sure about the bottom one. That looks too much like one of my relatives.

As a kid we usually played something mundane like baseball or football, and we wrestled quite a bit. My cousin Arlene used to whomp me good too when we wrestled.

We played cowboys and Indians, cops and robbers–same game just a different cast. We hadn’t even heard of political correctness. I loved the Lone Ranger and Tonto best. It never occurred to me that Tonto was considered less because he was an American Indiana, er, Native American. Then there was Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Sky King, Flicka, Cisco Kid, Flipper, and Zorro. I had a Lone Ranger outfit: white hat, black mask, and six-shooter cap gun. It also never occurred to me that this was any kind of gender bending. I just liked the stuff and had a lot of fun. I feel kind of sorry for kids who have to think about this sort of thing. Hi-Ho Silver!!

My son photographed this mean-looking hombre pretending to be a cowboy 22 years ago when we were at the Grand Canyon. I wonder whatever became of that mysterious stranger 🤔

Hey, you missed Hop-a-Long Cassidy. Later Gunsmoke, Have Gun will Travel and others.

With Paladin’s business card, I thought his first name was Wire.

Let us not forget Gabby Hayes, The Rifleman, Rawhide (with Clint Eastwood as Rowdy Yates), Sea Hunt, Lassie and Alfred Hitchcock Presents.

Yes, and there was also Wagon Train, and no doubt others. We had more to watch on 4 channels than we do now on hundreds.

Yeah. Used to actually be shows on. Now, it is most likely to flip through 100 channels, and every.single.one.of.them is playing a commercial.

That is one ornery lookin’ varmint! Hope I never cross paths with the likes of him! 😒

Praying it goes well for you! I used to work on fire alarm systems as part of my electrical gig.

The Mudgies will testify to the quality of your character, if need be.
