They are all in favor of overturning Roe v Wade and having a Constitutional amendment. However, I think they all want it to go from Roe v. Wade to Constitutional amendment. Paul is the only one, I think, that would have the middle step of giving it back to the states before a Constitutional amendment can be worked out.

Overturning Roe v Wade automatically gives it back to the states. If that is a special “middle step” Ron Paul is proposing, then I would say he is a confused individual.

Well, I cant say that for sure, but I do think your post is showing a reality that all of cant bury our heads in the sand about.
We cant assume that he will lose. This is going to be a hard fought election, and I really think that only Romney, in the general election, has a good chance at beating him.

Why do you think Romney would do best in a general election? Romney will not get a large percentage of the Hispanic vote for example, I suspect Gingrich would.
In a Rasmussun poll Obama is up 49% to Gingrich 39% but I wonder if Gingrich’s percentage could go up:

Why would you say that? Just to annoy people? You’re right, not only do I disagree but hearing anyone say this is aggravating. History would say otherwise given the statistics of his low level of approval, the STRONG disapproval level (it’s important how strong or weak approval or disapproval which translates to votes) the misery index, unemployment.
I can imagine one scenario, if he cheats like last time. Remember ACORN registering Mickey Mouse and the Dallas Cowboys? I really wonder about the integrity of the system when they don’t require ID. My state has vote by mail only and it’s full of fraudulent votes…dead people, multiple voting, voting for disabled people. As Hugh Hewitt says “If It’s Not Close They Can’t Cheat” but we’ve seen too many close elections with some very sketchy circumstances.
Obama has a few strong constituancies. He’d get the black vote if unemployment hit 50%. As a voting block they seem totally invested in his race vs his actual performance, particularly vis a vis blacks and their issues. He is losing independents, young people, Hispanics, and Catholics (why he had Catholics is beyond me!) so some of the previous supporters are drifiting away or will not vote.
The Republicans just have to NOT blow it by nominating an unelectable candidate.
I’m still optimistic our long national nightmare will be over soon. If you have anything but provocation please let me know

Romney - Rubio! It’s a perfect combination. Rubio is an INCREDIBLE communicator. He is brilliant in getting to the heart of the matter. Great example “We don’t need more taxes we need more taxpayers!” Nothing like reiterating the obvious that seems totally lost on the part of many.
Rubio is considered the favorite as a VP candidate. He’s young, charismatic, intelligent, has a lovely family, pulls in the state of Florida. It’s all good!
Think positive! We need to get Mr Breaded Air out of the White House!

So to counter for Romney’s position on illegal immigration vs Gingrich’s position on the ‘‘red card’’ system, Romney would need a Hispanic vice president like Rubio? Who would be an excellent choice for any of the presidential candidates but Rubio has said he does not want to be vice president.

He has great wisdom and knowledge that these Republican candidates don’t have. Don’t start breaking out the excuses Obama didn’t cheat and you know it. Just because he won doesn’t mean we should accuse the man of cheating!

Obama had more Caucasian votes than he did African American.
And it doesn’t matter anyway because 50% of the American population doesn’t vote. African Americans make up 12% of the population. 14% of them can’t vote. so what does that leave us with?

No because he is outstanding in his own right and I could see him as President should something happen to Romney (or whomever is elected).
As to saying he doesn’t want to be VP…oh PUH-LEASE. They all say that. Tell me that if the party came to him and said “We need you, we want you, you are the best man for the job” that he’d say no. They have to play coy and pretend not to be angling for the VP spot but trust me, he’ll take it.

Well we are living a nightmare but trust me you don’t need to annoy me to make me aware of what is at stake. Please stop pretending you know what will happen and “we can’t do anything about it.” What a pessimistic and elitist view of the American people.
I don’t think Obama has any great wisdom. He is a reactionary, leads from behind and is afraid to take a stand on anything. He is weak, petty, childish and petulant. He is the antethisis of wisdom. He is good at reading a teleprompter and spouting bumper sticker slogans. He’s tried channelling every past president (other than Carter and Nixon) without success. The man is Proteus. There is nothing there.
As to your statistics…well DUH of course he got more Caucasian than black votes. Blacks are a minority remember? At any rate he’s LOST a lot of those previously held white voting blocks and is dependent on blacks, liberal elites, environazis and unions. Turnout has a LOT to do with passion and this time the PASSION is against Obama. Those who turned out for him last time are disappointed and either will not vote or will go to the Republican or maybe even a third party. We know what’s at stake and we care. YMMV
