Cool. Let’s talk about free markets and the right to property.
We can do more than talk about it, we can see right now some beauts. regarding “free markets” and “right to property”…Holy Mother Church in her age old wisdom speaks about it because over a century ago, they saw it too!!!

Every thing old is always new again.

Your free markets mean nothing, nothing when it has the capability of doing harm, the same as with your private property (this belongs to me.me.me.me.) which is in its most rudimentary form (the earth you stand on) was created and given to us by God, and even when owned it cannot be exploited or coveted at the expense of others.

You own essentially nothing and the extra coat you have belongs (you heard it right) belongs to the poor!

When you force States to compete based on the highest bidder for life saving ventilators (your beloved free market without regulation at work) you’re in the mire with the lowest of low.

It’s hard to see to what depths of immorality and anti-Americanism the Democrats will go. How one can vote for them, I can not fathom. It’s the opposite of Christianity.

That’s not what Pelosi was worried about.
Oh …, is the secret ha;f-trillion in the the House Bill?
Perhaps you can find/
Document Viewer : NPR
Pelosi made clear what she was worried about, executing the unborn among them.

Senate Republicans and Democrats were close to agreement until she injected her politics of power into the mix.

Now that they have come to an agreement and planning to vote on it today, I noticed something in a couple couple of the news reports that initially low income families or individuals would not receive a cash benefit. Now they will.

Whose idea was it initially to exclude low-income individuals ?

Nancy and Schumer did a great job. They also required transparency spending all that money ending the slush fund that would have been. Great job

An ignorance of free markets that is stunning.
Free markets are responsible for the broadest, greatest standard of living in the world.
Look, we still
Live in a free country. If you want to organize a business through shared ownership, go ahead. No one is stopping you. In fact, I have a part time job at a retail business that is employee owned. It is a great place to work.

Let’s be honest here, the Church was not particularly good at governance.
You own essentially nothing and the extra coat you have belongs (you heard it right) belongs to the poor!
This is factually untrue, and I’m being kind with my wording. On the other hand, the defining coveting is desiring or wanting what some else owns.

While small business is being destroyed, I’m hearing too, there was a big pay raise for house members in the package. How this can be justified is way beyond me.

I find that hard to believe. It is almost tradition that they vote themselves a raise the first day of Congress, to allow for the maximum number of days for people to forget. They are running in November

I thought that they had put their raises on autopilot several years ago.

The deal is done.

" The Senate on Wednesday moved toward a vote on a sweeping bipartisan deal to deliver $2 trillion in government relief to a nation increasingly under lockdown, watching nervously as the twin threats of disease and economic ruin grow more dire.

Reached after midnight, the rescue deal was the product of a marathon set of negotiations among Senate Republicans, Democrats and the White House that had stalled as Democrats insisted on stronger worker protections and oversight of a $500 billion fund to bail out distressed businesses."

Democrats and the White House that had stalled as Democrats insisted on stronger worker protections
how many times does it take the new york times to change its wording to get their article approved by the DNC?

worker protection? is that the postal bailout? the railroad employee fund? the union pension bailout? where is your bailout for your pension losses? what is in the bill? nancy had nice give-aways for her cronies, she wasn’t going to let this emergency go to waste.

Now that just is below you. You shouldn’t post things like that, even sarcastically. That type of statement is how internet hoaxes get started. Partisan minds take in such comments as factual.

Victoria33 . . .
While small business is being destroyed . .
Good point Victoria33.

If the Government allows this to keep occurring unabated, many more small businesses will be destroyed.

Then Amazon and others can March in there and buy the ones they want, for pennies on the dollar.

Our largest businesses NEED to be broken up via anti-trust laws that are already in place! (The sooner this gets done, the better.)

These monopolies are not good for a country.

food for thought
But Wednesday morning, as the House gaveled into session, it suddenly became clear that Pelosi did not intend to have House members review the bill; the House went in and out of session in just under three minutes.
