Democrats now critical of Rice's Benghazi explanation, amid more damaging evidence

Changing demographics will give liberals and Democrats permanent majority status IMO. My vote has become largely irrelevant, so I avoid involvement in the American political process and focus exclusively on daily life and my Catholic faith. Apathy is rewarding in and of itself. Obama spoke at my daughter’s graduation from Ohio State last Sunday. The vast majority of spectators cheered him like a conquering hero. I simply grabbed a hot dog, slapped on the stadium mustard, and let his words drift harmlessly by. Not one bit of angst or consternation. Before the November election, I would have been tied up in knots. Life is good.

I get what you are saying. It’s really looking like America has changed too radically to ever be recognizable to anyone who died before Obama got elected. For the past 40 years Democrats have been brainwashing the public with their absolute control over public school system and mainstream media. For all this time they’ve been able to write and control the narrative of public opinion. Plus, they cheat on votes on top of that and get away with it without it being challenged even when they are caught red-handed doing it. In spite of this, I will continue to vote against the Democrats even though I have a strong suspicion that my vote will be tossed in the trash if for no other reason as a symbolic act of protest. But if or when the RNC platform supports so-called “abortion rights” and/or so-called “same-sex marriage” as it does in the DNC platform that’s when I’ll no longer involve myself.

Democrats can put anyone in Obama’s place and their propaganda machine can easily convince the populace that whoever it is is the smartest person to ever live. Democrats having control of the public school system and control of the media is like a sports team that has control of the referees and control of the clock.

By the way, for anyone who brings up Fox News. They aren’t a part of the mainstream media. Mainstream media is what you would get for free with just a TV antenna such as ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS. These are the mainstream media.

I think it will be difficult to find a “replacement” for Obama. Notable is the black vote, the percentage of which exceeded the white vote. Had voting patterns and participation rate been the same in 12 as in 08 Romney would have won. I think that a form of tribalism took over and so many blacks identified with “their guy” that they were determined not to let him be turned out of office even though his tenure has been a disaster for blacks in an economic sense. Even those not inclined to vote for Obama could not identify with Romney (I loved the guy but I love competent and ethical men even if they are rich…many do not). So we had a perfect storm for another disasterous four years.

If you drill down to state politics, Republicans are doing much better with some 30 governors and many Republican held legislatures. I still have hope on a local and state level and that’s what we can impact anyway. Living in a bluer than blue state, I realize my national vote is a tree that died for nothing.

Wow getting off track here. I don’t think any purpose will be served going after Obama although there is nothing I’d like more than to see his gross incompetence acknowledged by his (former) supporters. He’s already the lamest of ducks and all we can hope to do is block any effort to continue down the path he has established. What this incident might do is continue to diminish the power and influence of Obama’s supporters, most of whom will stand for election again and don’t want to be tainted.

I actually hope Hilary runs. I think she is quite beatable and Benghazi will prove to be a millstone around her neck. Maybe the Dems will decide to run Biden! That would be good news indeed!

Democrats appeal to single women who want free birth control and support for libertine lifestyle choices that put them in debt, pregnant or with a child to support. Since they haven’t found responsible men in their lives they are sometimes looking for an alternative source of support. Blacks voted for Obama because he’s black although it went from 90% of the black vote for the white guys to 95% for the black guy. But it does make a difference. Politically incorrect I know but very very true.

It’s funny I thought Biden was simply boorish, rude, confused and really unlikable in the debate. This has to be completely a matter of perspective but even Democrat women thought he was dreadful. OTOH I was at a meeting that night and the MEN thought he was great…yikes if that is the kind of person some think is suitable for President…

I think John Ransom’s column was interesting. He noted that while there were a number of factors that put Obama over the top, that he had kept us “safe” from Islamist attacks and the killing of Osama being enough to sway some on the fence. Thus the importance of burying any whiff of Al Qaeda’s influence and ability to orchestrate world changing events. Thus being able to use Rice and others to push a different narrative that made Benghazi sound like an Occupy protest with weapons rather than a military achievement was essential.

Those who followed the bouncing ball don’t realize they will simply be the next bodies under the bus. Obama is utterly ruthless when protecting his image and power. Be afraid, be very afraid.

Just a little point off point but on target for CAF. The VP debate demonstrated two opposite poles in Catholicism.

On one side you had Paul Ryan with that precious story about his little girl and seeing her in an ultrasound, the size of a bean, hence her nickname. He so humanized the unborn and I thought that was one of the most effectivie and touching moments in the entire campaign.

Then you had grinnin’ Joe mawkish and bizarre, dancing around very clear Catholic teaching regarding abortion…oh it’s not for me but hey I can’t push my moral code on others…blech…

What a contrast and too bad we got the lesser of the two.
