This whole issue is ridiculous. Trump is actually being vilified for calling a bunch of people how act like animals, “ANIMALS”. ANybody else including Jesus Christ can get away with this behaviour but not some Knuckle head President.

Nobody cares! The press doing this is only cementing the mid-terms for a GOP breakout. People in general are sick to death of the stupidity of the media vendetta to crush Trump!

Rather I have criticized gymnastic eisegesis and hypocisy that Trump fans indulge in to support their leader.
I agree with @stinkcat that this is not a big deal. I do regret that our POTUS cannot think of something a little more pointed and substantial to say. It would be better for him to specifically document the heinous crimes of the group and our resolve to break them than just to indulge in playground banter.

I was responding to Rational1’s post about what is expected of leaders.

So basically I was trying to convey that what Trump was doing is similar to what CHrist was doing with the Pharisees. It is called Hyperbole, a type of rhetoric. This is not name calling. it is calling out what one sees as an example of someones actions.

Phrasees were acting like a bunch of Vipers and the MS13 act like animals.

I have to admit, the spectacle of Trump opponents losing their minds over Trump calling murdering, drug dealers and human traffickers “animals” is pretty epic. It’s also a good illustration of how Trump is literally (not figuratively) driving his opponents stark raving mad. Does anybody really think the path to the “Blue Wave” is going to run through standing up for MS-13 gang members?

I agree with this, and can only marvel at the willingness of opponents to jump on the anti-Trump meme of the day, regardless of how ludicrous it is. Really? People are actually indignant that Trump referred to MS-13 members as animals? I can’t wait to see the political commercials that come out of this one.
