Remember: The church teaching is and has been that the accidents remain those of bread and wine. So him finding bread is no surprise, and fully in keeping with current Theology.

As I have said on another thread about this (there are a couple of them going now) I heard on a Catholic Radio Station in my area a priest (didn’t catch his name) that worked with Fr. Amorth say that this is demonic to the very core. Whether or not he is knowingly cooperating with the evil one…that is exactly what he is doing. This is a very bold and in your face move by Satan. Especially when it is publicized to this extent, Satan is gleefully tormenting God’s people…and this man is in very very serious trouble. He is inviting eternal and everlasting disaster upon himself.

I too think that the Holy Hour in August is a great idea…and yes, maybe now we as a whole will wake up. I myself, as others have said am having a hard time praying for this man…as I’ve stated before…I have to retrieve my heart first as it’s now in my stomach. And really who knows whether or not this is really a consecrated host or not? We have to be VIGILANT in our parishes to PROTECT THE CONSECRATED HOST…NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES.

AND…he has destroyed and “desecrated” the Koran along with it…how THIS will play out will be interesting. Bill Donahue from the Catholic League has gotten in touch with the head of Islamic American Relations.😉

This really bothers me. Several Catholics have reported with glee that the Koran was desecrated and Muslims might respond with violence- then a smiley face… as though the Muslims ‘get to’ be violent murderous thugs whereas we cannot - that would be horrible and we should pray it does not happen!

I find it bothersome as well.

THAT WAS NOT AT ALL IN THE LEAST BIT MY IMPLICATION!!
Who that is really of good heart wants to see violence??? And besides that, with the apparant state of this man’s soul, who wants to see him die just to be in everlasting torment??? No one in their right mind would want that kind of blood on their hands!!! What I was implicating is that other religions and other groups that have been offended have a much more aggressive stance on hate crimes against them!!! And that I am afraid is a fact!!! It seems that other religions will cause a firestorm of protest (in a civil way but none the less a firestorm, that you are bombarded with in the main stream media!!!) Look at what (for instance) has happened with Imus? Look at the firestorm that happened when someone in the military was supposed to have desecrated the Koran? They were up in arms and we heard it all over the place on regular news channels and in the newspapers!!! Catholics take a back seat because we don’t cause that kind of a rucus…never have…but you can pretty much count on the fact that the people of the Muslim faith will be up in arms about this and WE WILL be hearing this on national TV. And RIGHTFULLY SO!! And the media WILL PAY ATTENTION TO THEM, AS THEY DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO CATHOLICS NOR CHRISTIANS IN GENERAL!! These are hate crimes that should not be just swept under the carpet. They are an assault on Catholics and on Muslims that should not be tolerated. Yes, I am hoping and praying that this gets more “legal” intolerance by religious groups. If people do not stand up for their religious freedom, we are going to loose it!!! Of course I don’t want to see violence, but I would hope (and think) that the Muslim people in this country would be civil in their protest, but they will protest indeed, AND THEY WILL GET THE COVERAGE!!!

Teelynn, thanks for responding, and I apologize for implicating you in my post.

However I have seen what I described on here and also on the responses on Meyer’s blog. 😦

teelyn, my comment was not directed at you either. sorry if you took it that way.

i agree with post by ella. i think this man is looking for attention and he the more “hate” he gets from bill donahue or other Catholics in their e-mails or posts only feeds his need to mock our faith and Jesus and the eucharist. i have no problem with bill donahue contacting a Muslim organization. i don’t want to see anything bad happen to this man, but if it does, he should have known better than to desecrate what is sacred to 2 great religions.
maybe he should have thought of the consequences before. there are many blasphemus videos on you tube that are mocking Catholicism. i had no idea until i followed a link posted on one of the threads last night. it is so sad that people feel the need to make fun of what we consider sacred and holy. he may regret this 15 minutes of fame that he wanted so badly. if he is an atheist, fine. let those of us who believe practice our faith in peace.

I read through some of the sickening posts on his site and noticed that someone asked him,“what are you going to do with the rest of them?”. With alot of prayer and hope I see this as “proof” that he bought a bag of unconsecrated ones. Really. does this guy think he is going to end the Catholic religion with this stunt? However, if it was Our Lord present in the Eucharist, may God have mercy on his soul. This henious act will probably have the opposite effect he intended as Catholics/Christians storm heaven with their prayers for this evil act. As for posting/emailing this guy~this is what I think…dont feed the king of all trolls!!

He’s obviously a very angry person, and for that alone he deserves our prayers.

I would sincerely hope that nobody responds to him in anger because that is exactly what he wants. He wants to prove that religious people are irrational, raving lunatics-so it would be better if nobody from any faith tradition proved his theory.

He made a martyr out of that host. This is going to cause more people to frequent the Blessed Sacrament than ever.

If you have not already, please contact the president and chancellor of the University of Minn.-Morris, and make a holy hour this week in reparation to the Blessed Sacrament. 😦

I will make sure to keep him in mind when I go to adoration tonight.🙂

No offense taken…I just get upset, when I think I have been misunderstood…one of my not so good traits.😊 Excuse the defensive tone please!

Really I get upset as well at the very uncharitable responses to Myers that are (1) just playing into his hands not to mention giving Satan joy and (2) not what Catholic Christians are all about…it goes against the very core of what Jesus taught us.
Those that have sent him death threats need to at the very least think about EVEN WISHING death to him, as it would be a pretty sure bet where he would end up at this point in his life! I doubt (like I’ve said before) that anyone would want that kind of blood on their hands! My prayer has been and will continue to be that somehow in God’s time and His way this man will be converted.
It will take a miracle, but our God IS the God of miracles.

I have sent a charitable but stern email to the President of the U of M and I have also contacted the American Catholic Lawyers Assoc. Other than that I don’t know how else to express my intolerance for this situation. I won’t email Prof. Myers, as he just seems to ridicule and demean even charitable emails… seems to do not one bit of good…BUT…I can pray for him as I have been and will continue to do! Bill Donahue has submitted a formal complaint with the President of the University…for whatever that might be worth. I am hoping this does not fall on deaf ears but??? Seems like the only media attention that Catholics receive is negative. (priest scandal was all over the main stream media for months!!) When it comes to an assault on the Catholic people…doesn’t make squat!!..not newsworthy enough. But any other group gets pretty much front page news!..we will see…and please continue to pray ! Deacon Ed has a great suggestion which I have been doing when I have the opportunity…to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet for him and others that are so full of hate for Jesus and for us. Probably the most positive thing we can do.

To try to put this very distrubing act into some sort of perspective, I would like to tell you something I once heard in a homily. “Atheists are the epitome of pride and egoism. I don’t believe, therefore, it can’t be true!” You have to think about this for a moment to understand the full impact.

Please ponder on 2 Thess 2:10-11:

…they have not opened their hearts to the truth in order to be saved. Therefore God is sending upon them a perverse spirit which leads them to give credence to falsehood.

Pres. Bruininks, in a sense, has encouraged this kind of disrespect by his staff. I don’t think we can expect him to do anything about it. Perhaps he is an atheist, too. Last year, he ignored the Catholic League’s plea not to run the anti-Catholic play “The Witch and the Pope” at the Univ.

thanks for the e-mails to the people at the university. i sent 2 e-mails - polite i might add.

sadly, i am afraid pz myers is an example of the professors at a lot of the universities these days. thankfully, i am not paying a high tuition for a child of mine to be sitting in one of their classes and subject them to the liberalism, atheism that is seen a sign of intellectualism.

professor myers has a right to believe in whatever he wants, but why does he have the need to mock and desecrate what is sacred and holy to others? i would certainly like to see the university reprimand him in some way. he should be pitied. i like what tigg said that he heard in a homily about atheists.

i do not know how much press this has received around the world, but i am sure whoever has heard about this man’s actions are saddened that he attacked the heart of the Catholic faith.

How many unborn chilren are killed every day ? Aren’t they member of the body of Christ ? Desecration of the Host by that guy would be one more.
