Let’s also not forget the fact that women have more support when in abusive relationships and have more resources to get them out of those relationships. That’s an important factor as well.
Did the boy who got her pregnant stay in school too? Here’s another thing I just remembered. When I was in high school, they had just started the practice of allowing pregnant girls to stay in school with the rest of the kids. That would be in the '70s. Not too long before that, pregnant girls were sent away to another school, which was a source of shame that discouraged other girls from following in their footsteps.
I remember looking in amazement at a girl in one of my classes, watching her belly grow bigger with each passing week. I had never seen anything like that. But the fact that she remained with us gave her condition a sort of legitimacy, like it was not a big deal to be pregnant and not only unwed, but still a minor in school. In fact, the other girls seemed to be excited for her, setting the stage for normalization and more unwed mothers in the future.
Say hi to the fifties for me, can you?So it is also possible that women are not providing the same level of work and thus get paid less.
I worked in the public sector too. With a few exceptions, women did half the work for the same pay. I guess that’s fair too.News Flash Obesity coupled with heart disease is causing the health care crisis. Obese children are diagnosed with heart disease by the time they reach their teens. There are 4 gay couples in my neighborhood and I have shook hands with all and attended a neighborhood bbq…and lo and behold…I’m still here. And News Flash 2…women make 87% of what a man makes doing the same job in the private sector. I work in the public sector and men in the same grade and career series make exactly what I make.
Try mid '80’s to 2008Say hi to the fifties for me, can you?

Which prayer. In public school? In the 60’s we had a "moment of silence " in Massachusetts. When I moved to the south in the mid 70’s…what Catholics call the “Our Father”…was read over the PA every morning…and all the kids stared at me when I suddenly stopped in the middle of it and didn’t say…“for thine is the kingdom and power and glory” part. A verse was also read from the Kings James Bible so I never heard anything from Micah or Wisdom. Why is that I wonder? I am sure the few Jewish students were confused as well. Because you had to say the Our Father out loud. So which Bible should be brought back in to public schools and which prayer should be said?I think it all started with he removal of the bible and prayer from the schools in the 60s.
Maybe we should get them back in eh.
Amen.We all are mislead in many ways.
The parables show that.
I person who drinks too much alcohol needs help. We all know that he misses the mark (evil or sin).
In the Kingdom of God, marriage is clearly explained.
In the Kingdoms of Egypt, Babylon, or America marriage is said to be something different.
I believe in the Kingdom of God’s marriage.
It is a matter of belief. I am a Catholic Christian. Only accidentally am I an American.
I cannot prove our faith, but believe it.
If Americans decide to be Americans first, they most certainly may.
I, as a Catholic Christian, love and pray for all.
Furthermore, the Gospel is the power of God to save us, place us back on the mark or way.
If I am living a good life, then it is His power.
Logically, Christian marriage is much better than prostitution, abortion, and adultery.
There is more logic in Christian Love than mere rational thought.
I love pot roast! Can I exchange that martini for a whiskey sour?Bradski. I think my White Westinghouse fridge needs cleaning. Oh and did you see the brand new iron my hubby bought for me for my birthday? I can’t wait to try it out. I’ve got a pot roast in the oven…martini’s at the ready…I hope he’s not working late tonight. His secretary Tiffany called…she is such a dear…she always let’s me know ahead of time if he is going to be late. What would my hubby do without her? DING DING! Uh oh…it’seems noon here in Stepford and it’s time to take “mothers little helper”…

Bradski thinks in cliches. People of his kind don’t even know what he’s really talking about. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ever pulled the “coat hanger abortion” card.Bradski. People of my kind…? Ah, I guess you must mean ‘People who make light hearted remarks over what appears to be misogynist statements that would be more appropriate for the first half of the last century’. Now if you’ll excuse me, Julianna has a martini waiting for me (stirred, not shaken, I hope, Jools).Bradski thinks in cliches. People of his kind…
Isn’t it interesting how history worldwide repeats itself. Every eraIt’s also a great formula for the destruction of civilization.
Problem is too many folks think that progressivism is automatic.
It isn’t, and it won’t last, one way or another.
