I think you’re right about this being a misunderstanding if you believe that Adam & Eve really existed and were our first parents, but I didn’t get that impression from what you said in post #98. Sorry if I misinterpreted what you were trying to say.
I can see how you got the impression. By “fantastical” I was referring to the physical creation. I can honestly say that one of my biggest pet peeves is “Bible literalists,” which is ironic, since Mel Gibson is one of my heroes. Go figure.

You can count me in with you for that as well! 👍 And by the way, if you haven’t heard about and/or read it yet, I would definitely direct you towards the excellent book in my signature. 😃

I don’t know where they went after they died…but imagine their life after the fall. That must have been hell. You and I can only imagine what living in a perfect state of grace with God must be like. Adam and Eve knew it…then lost it. All of their lives they had to have had that memory of what they gave up and could not get back even if they tried. Imagine the tension in their marriage. The anguish over what had been lost. Imagine being Cain and Abel growing up in that environment. One has to wonder if they welcomed death.

The Church recognises Adam and Eve as saints in heaven. their feast day is 24 December.

Thank you for the recommendation. I will certainly check it out.

I hope not! imagine your dad or mum in hell! Adam and Eve are are first parents! I love them, and i would like to meet them one day. I used to be angry, but I have no bad mind agaisnt them anymore. The truth is, we choose to go to hell or heaven, regardless of adam and eves sin. They certainly will not go to hell because of us and what we do!

Lets prey, that the lord has mercy, and in the hope that they repented and where trully sorry for there sin, lets prey that we will meet them for the first time in heaven.

Could you imagine! Are first parents! I wonder what thier pesonalitys where like? 🙂 :blessyou: :amen: 👋

My sister and I had a very interesting discussion about Adam and Eve yesterday. She told me she never thought Adam and Eve went
to hell. I told her I thought they did. Why? Because Adam disobeyed
God, and betrayed Him. Adam blamed God, and he knew better.
Eve was thoroughly deceived by Satan, but she took the apple.
I thought that since they disobeyed God, that they did indeed burn in hell for their actions. Am I wrong? Iam definitely not the judge as to whether Adam or Eve went to hell, but I think they did go to hell.
What they did was a serious violation, and did that action that they
took warrant them going to hell?
Since the only sin that cannot be forgiven is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, I believe that Adam and Eve most likely repented and were forgiven.

Matt.12
Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
