Did Russians interfere in the 2016 U.S. elections and is such interference acceptable?

I don’t know why you’re trying to play Socrates here like nobody knows the basis of the Russian accusation. It’s not a mystery. There’s even a wiki page that lays out the case.

You don’t have to buy it, but “you can’t even explain it” is not a fair criticism or some kind of checkmate. Ten seconds on Google will lay out the case for you.

That is the problem in a nutshell. People have “belieifs” about things that are simple matters of fact. If you did a little due diligence, you would find that the timeline of events does not support the argument. What you “believe” if not squarely aligned with reality.
 
Serious question: do you guys think that everyone who has issues with Trump or is concerned about his ties to Russia is a liberal Democrat who supports Clinton?

I just see a lot of deflecting and attempts to change the conversation to Clinton, and I don’t see a lot of actual Democrats on CAF.

Well, me for one.

Forget the independents, what about the republicans? I can think of plenty a prominent Republicans who don’t think of it as as “silly”.

Besides, we can just turn it around and say that the only reason Trump supporters don’t care or argue that it’s nonsense is that their guy won. If the shoe were on the other foot and Hillary was in trumps position Trump supporters would be screaming bloody murder.

You seem unable to get out of campaign mode, and this see all of this through the lens of Hillary’s loss. You share this fixation with a few of the Trump die-hards. But can you find in Comey’s words any idea that his investigation is grounded somehow in a desire to rationalize HRCs loss? Really?

There is multi-agency federal investigation of a major campaign of interference by an adversarial foreign government in the last campaign, and of collusion between American persons and entities in that interference. That is was made clear on Monday. This is viewed as a matter of national security. The deflection that this is somehow about HRC and that interest in the investigation limited to partisan democrats is just lame.

Country above party, bro. Even if Democrats are hypocrites (not saying dvdjs is one, or even a Democrat) doesn’t mean you have to be. “Cheating is only bad if the other guy does it” is not a good precedent to set.

so you were a Bernie supporter? I guess if Russia interfered they didn’t need to interfere with Bernie’s campaign because Hillary took care of that!

If HRC had won, this investigation would absolutely be going on. This is about our country.

Me, personally? I would be happy about the the triumph of reality over alt-reality, of fact over alt-fact, even as I would be calling out bad policy in her administration.

Never thought I’d see the day when the left would hate Russia. I think that mean they’re doing something right 👍 I agree with that twitter campaign. Russia NOT My Enemy !
