Again, sorry but I really don’t buy whatever you’re referring to.
RE the private server – it seemed to me that may have even been safer (for one, bec people didn’t know she was using a private server until that got revealed…which put an end to it) than gov servers, which are hacked into; let’s not forget they hacked the CIA. Since other officials had also used private servers or email accounts without being criticized for it, I just don’t have any problem with Hillary having used one and am with Comey at the most – that is was careless and reckless, but no harm done. And I’m dead certain Hillary would have learned a bitter lesson not to use it going forward – so I had NO fear of that. Even Bernie Sanders said it was much ado about nothing. Anyone who says otherwise is getting their info from bizarro fake-news media (that probably also says climate change is a hoax).
RE Benghazi: The Republicans slashed the funds for the State Dept, which made Embassies and US outposts around the world less secure. I remember reading about that well before Benghazi. They had to shift funds to where they thought they were needed, which at best is a guessing game. Everyone, including Ambassador Stevens, thought the Libyans were positive toward the US, having helped in freeing them – and that was mostly right. They perhaps should have known there would be some small faction there that were against the US. No one really knew who was behind the attack in the beginning. There was all sorts of speculation – terrorism? disaffected faction that hated Qaddafi’s overthrow? Muslim mob angry at that video (which had caused riots elsewhere in the Islamic world)? It takes time to figure out such causes. I praise Hillary for saying, “I take responsibility. I’m in charge of the State Department’s 60,000-plus people all over the world, 275 posts,” and condemn the Republicans for cutting State Dept funding. And now they’re drastically cutting it even further, bec they want more Benghazis ?? Trump would never ever take responsibility for anything; he always blames it (or deflects his own faults) on others.
We only watched ABC news at that time.
Since about 2015 we found a really great news source that covers more stories (no tabloid stuff or fluff) and covers them well, with great integrity – Democracy Now! with Amy Goodman on Free Speech TV. It pretty much criticizes both Republicans and Democrats for bad things they do. It did not favor Hillary during the election, even after the primaries; it did seem to favor Bernie Sanders during the primaries.
Now since Feb of this year, in addition to watching ABC News and Democracy Now!, we are also watching MSNBC, esp Rachel Maddow. And I have to praise the media for doing a lot of the investigative work…the way the media uncovered the Watergate scandal.
MSNBC, as you would say, is a somewhat left-leaning channel, but nevertheless beholden to the corporations that sponsor it. As with other corporate media they don’t mention climate change hardly at all – which to me it THE really big issue and elephant in the room, that among other terrible things has contributed to the Arab Spring and problems (droughts and their knock-on effects) in Syria and Libya. But unlike Fox at least ABC and MSNBC do not claim anthropogenic climate change is a hoax; they just simply ignore it, mentioning it a few minutes each year…as it gets worse and worse. I would never believe or watch a channel that denies CC.
