Bump
I’ve been doing some thinking over Islam’s beliefs and I have come to the conclusion that they are supported by double standards and brainwashing (or something like brainwashing at least). I’m not accusing the clerics of brainwashing, though.
Examples of what I mean:
The Holy Spirit is the angel Gabriel. This would make sense from a purly face view: Gabriel is a spirit (angel) and he is holy. However, since Muslims are taking a Christian concept of the Holy Spirit and redefining it, it dose not make sense.
The Spirit of Truth, or Advocate, is Mohammed. This would make sense in light of the belief that on the last day Mohammed will be an advocate for all souls. The term “spirit of truth” would than be read as a symbolic title of Mohammed. However, again, Muslims are taking a Christian concept and redefining it, so it dose not make sense.
Allah and his followers fight the Jews. I really don’t know how the Muslims dodge this one - but they do, on these boards, let me tell ya, and they try to divert you away by talking about a spiritual jihad - and than they say the Jews are to be respected because of what Mohammed said. Well, okay, than who has more authority: the Koran (which Muslims equal to Jesus) or Mohammed (which Muslims equal to the New Testament)? By the way, in case you’re looking for Koran quote support of the belief that Allah fights the Jews, go
here.
