Love your Chic rock band! 😃

I just read a thread on this forum which said some Catholic Churches still have bingo in their churches. It depends on that particular churches preference. The thread also said that bingo was very common years ago in the church as a whole. I personally don’t care if Catholics have bingo or any other type of gambling in their churches but you guys aren’t very consistent in what you have said about the subject. Some people say bingo was never allowed in Catholic Churches while others say they are still using it in theirs…
They have Casino Nights or something at my church from time to time but I dont know that they gamble for money. We also had a couple “road rallies,” (I’ve only been to one) where we teamed up and then follow clues to locate various places around town. Once we arrived at our destination, someone would be there waiting for us, holding playing cards. We took a card at each location, (to get a poker hand) and off went to find the next place where we picked another card.
After we got back to the church hall, they checked everybody’s hand and which ever team won the poker hand got a prize. My team won. :dancing:

Many years ago my aunt, who was quite the gambler - bingo, lotto and who knows what else, used to be big on playing bingo at her church. For whatever reason, the church was raided. :yup: My aunt, her best friend and whoever else got hauled in and spent a little time in the Big House. Okay, it wasn’t the Big House, but they did get tossed in jail until someone bailed them out. Probably my dad. LOL.

I have a very hard time relating to certain religious groups. It is not my business how one defines and practices ones faith…rock on. I just don’t understand how a Catholic, American or not is able to maintain their REALITY while worshiping Satan. If the Bible is the book Christianity is based on, then Catholics are definately NOT Christians, yet they believe that they are???

If people do not understand the message of Christ, that is ok, it can be complex to those who have never read the Bible. If you are a Catholic, and do not read your Bible, then you are not a Christian. But Let’s go deeper into reality. If you DO read your bible, then you absolutely Cannot be a true Catholic. Why? Because the Catholic Religion performs many Rituals that are stated in the Bible by name as Sin, one specifically as an abomination; they are as follows:
  1. Prayer to Mary, the Pope, Saints and anyone NOT named Jesus Christ
  2. The Beloved crusifix (abomination)
  3. Bingo (sorry, it’s funny, but a sin in the lord’s house)
  4. Confession
  5. Calling a priest FATHER
And you know what, obviously not all priests are gay, but before you allow a Catholic give ANY justification for a Gay Priest, remember the Bible calls Homosexuality a Sin (Actually, it is an abomination for man to lie with man. Not Mine, the Lords, do not judge me)

So before we make our children sin any more by repeating the Chant known as the “Hail MARY” 20 times for her sins, maybe we as adults can try to explain to them that The only thing WE know for sure, is that people good or bad, fat or skinner, stupid or smart NEED “Something to hold on to”. Whether it’s feeling superficial about getting a tan, or being the Best “deacon” in a church you do not even understand, it really is simply a psychological FIX for most.

I love ding dongs!

We do bingo in the hall but I can see the evangelic value of having it in church.

A bingo calling priest might say: On His Own Number One!

Blessed Trini…tee number three

Knock at the door… the gospel four

Catholic catechisms virtues of Heaven… number seven

Heavens gate…number eight

The foolish virgins.number ten…😛

Babylon:

Your post has a lot to be desired. If you truly want to know about the Catholic faith … the way you put your questions are very close to insulting, not to mention immature. And they are very old and can be shown scritptually - why we do what we do … You are new to the site … so you may want to spend some time looking at the different posts …

As far as the Crucifix is concerned … salvation came through the cross with our Savior on it … not a empty cross … The Crucifix reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice our Lord and Savior went through to save us from the fires of hell.

This being said however, I have met a number of people that mis-interpret the church as you have … especially because they lack the historical importance of Christianity …Do you know where the bible came from? Do a search in this site and you will truly be enlightened.

Welcome “B”, I pray that you will have an open mind … and truly want to learn about what the one true church that Jesus established has to offer.

Gods Peace … during this most holy season.

Well, over 80 replies to Babylon’s post, and I see he hasn’t made any more posts since the 2 he made last Friday. Perhaps he was just a hit-n-run (or as someone else said, a bash-n-dash) poster?

If this is truly the case, how sad … it is almost cowardice … don’t you think…if one makes such accusations … one should continue the fight.

I am amazed at how many non-Catholic Preaches teaches lie about our faith… the one thing our Church should do is teach their people the truth of the faith and how to defend it …
