Let’s not keep going back to Hillary, that’s not what this is about.

“Yes because he’s pro-life”
“He’s not as pro-life as you think he is and here’s why”

No more "but hillary"s please
Maybe that’s a fine discussion for 2016, but Trump has already been elected. No use talking about Hillary. Correction is required when people claim Trump is as pro-life as all get out. You can defend your decision to vote for him, sure, but let’s not go around acting like he’s a God-given savior.

We are all called to pray for each other and our leaders. We are called to action as well… as Faustina said ‘first by deed, then by word, then by prayer’ in that order… sometimes a fraternal correction - a work of mercy - is required and in order… Trump fits the bill… the Pope has been an excellent example of how to act in the face of Trump’s presidency

I strongly agree to vote Trump on that poll.
At the end of the poll the majority will vote " strongly disagree" why do i say that? Because the majority ignores the Word of God and will find ways to twist the scripture to say its not talkingabout this or that.
Lots of so called Catholics live in the flesh and not by the Word of God.

It’s interesting to note nobody has voted for plain old “agree, disagree, or undecided”.

It seems with Trump people either hate his guts or worship the ground he walks on - there’s not many “lukewarm” Trump supporters.

If anybody has studied totalitarian dictators, this is very troubling. Hitler and Stalin both evoked the same response - people either hated them and stood against everything they did - or loved them to the point of worship.

Very, very interesting and worrisome.

Your assertion that Catholics who disagree with Trump are worldly and live in the flesh, etc, is utter garbage.

He’s not the Pope, he’s not a holy man, he’s not even a Catholic.

He’s a thrice married business tycoon, foul mouthed woman groping buffoon. He’s not the Messiah.

You say more about your own ignorance and pride when you make such ridiculous assertions… but all you’re doing is following in the footstemps of your god-emperor Trump…
 
Remember we support our gov officials unless it disobeys God.

I do in fact, went to Saturday night vigil, gaudete Sunday. I have a degree in Theology and attended seminary for awhile. I have a divine office that I also pray.

What are you getting at?

I think this is the point of the thread…can a Catholic in good conscience support Trump? Many Catholics think not… due to the chronic lying, pro-choice stance until the election cycle, policies that hurt the people in favor of giant corporations, dangerous rhetoric potentially provoking war, treatment of immigrants,… not to mention being a sexual predator…

What are the factual arguments in favor of Mr Trump?

Simply ad hominem and straw men against his supporters, without understanding why they support him.
 
I’m not trying to draw a parallel between their murderous tendencies and Trumps apparent lack of murderous madness.

I’m saying Trump, Hitler and Stalin are all narcissistic, and all evoke a similar reaction in people: either utter disgust, or borderline worship.

How many anti Trump people have you seen who just slightly oppose him?

How many Trump supporters do you know who somewhat support him?

He is an extreme man who evokes extreme, visceral reactions from people.

That implies that Trump is an anointed vessel of God and anyone who opposes him is opposing God.

A lot of people, not just extreme examples cause reactions like that, Hillary, Obama, even Jesus and Muhammed garner similar reactions, your point is what? Since they are similar in some ways they are similar in all ways?

I thought all practicing Catholics would follow the The Lords word.
