Do Catholics still support Trump

Bill Clinton actually did it, and his team didn’t care.

Then there was John Edwards’ side-line hobby while campaigning. Generally speaking, a lack of morals and resulting low standards never bothered Dems before, so their concerns with regard to these matters now ring hollow. The climate of recent decades that applauds and lauds immorality is a monster they helped create, so now suddenly they’re sensitive to vulgarities? Since when?

Imo it’s too bad most of the MSM doesn’t practice professional journalism…

Instead we have whomevers who think their opinions matter, and only tell us what they want us to hear. Thanks be to Jesus Christ their attempts at manipulating voters failed.
I don’t know. I think Fox and Rush have been very successful at manipulating voters.

So i lack the knowledge of What’s going on in Jerusalem.

I know the basics like they fighting for this territory since after Ww2.
You might benefit from a walk through your Old Testament about the relationship between Isaac and Ishmael. There may also have been a few conflicts when the Jews emigrated from Egypt to Palestine.
I know the bible proclaims Jerusalem as the chosen people and maybe tbe embassy should be moved to declare the city God has chosen.
Actually, the Jews are proclaimed as the chosen people.

How is Jerusalem any more a city “God has chosen” than Bethlehem? Or for that matter, where Jesus grew up (Nazareth), or where he ministered and his Apostles lived while he was in the flesh (Capernaum)?

Really the secular identification of where the American embassy should be housed does not necessarily have any spiritual implications.

The problem is that the Jews, Muslims, and Christians all consider Jerusalem “the holy city”, so it is a good way to stir the pot.
if you can’t love your enemy then we have a problem. You claim to say "yeah i don’t hate " but deep down i THINK you drawvery close.
I agree, we are called to love everyone, and we need to work especially hard when it comes to people doing unloveable things.

It is a mistake for anyone to speculate about what might be “deep down” in another poster’s heart on an internet forum. All we can go by is what the person writes.
Ephesians 4:26 my brother
you are assuming that @Spyridon is angry because of his political views. This is a mistake.

This is isn’t what Trump should be talking about. It sounds like celeb gossip. Also, if he’s going to keep on talking about “Crooked H”, the least he could do is have Jeff Sessions do some investigating instead of showing how great he is for being hands-off.

Well, it’s the unborn children who are going to suffer way more than me or the republican party. Also, I expect more ordinary people to suffer.

I expect Jones’s numbers to drop like a rock, and I’m hoping we can get him recalled.

Let me know how it’s going over there since I’m not impressed with their primary choices. I prefer rationality over insanity.

I’ve actually never watched Trump on TV until he ran for president last year.
If I’m not mistaken, the presidential campaigns are paid by your tax dollars, you know the line or two at the top of the 1040 form which asks if you wish to “contribute”?
The only person I know of who wanted to use that money was John Edwards.

Thank you for your knowledge on that.

There was awesome talk i missed on relevant radio that said. " Trump moving the embassy and what it means to Catholics"
So I’m trying to find the podcast on it. It was sometime this month in December.
But my whole point is the Pope was concerned about the Move also because of tension.

The Catholic Church in the Holy Land has begged Trump not to recognize Jerusalem…as has the Holy Father.

Things are delicate enough, without fanning the flames unnecessarily. Why does it matter what city our embassy? Are there any practical reasons for the move, or is it just to please the fundamentalist base?

It’s an evangelical dog whistle. They believe that this hastens Armageddon by taking a step closer to Jewish control of the Temple Mount.
