the philistines worshiped idols. when the philistines were worshiping idols, the muslims would have been worshiping the God of abraham. the philistines were seafarers from crete. they disappeared after the babylonian exile. no they are not the palestinians.
The first half of your response doesn’t make any sense. No one is saying anything about the religion of the Philistines. And certainly the Philistines of c. 1000 BC had nothing to do with Islam, which began 1600+ years later.

DNA – https://news.nationalgeographic.com...ble-ancient-dna-lebanon-genetics-archaeology/ – 90% of Lebanese DNA is the same as Canaanites. I would assume the same goes for Palestinians. And of course you could quibble over the question of Philistines vs. Canaanites–are they the same? But the point is that that Israel claims the land of Israel at least partially because of their previous occupation and history there. But the Palestinians pre-date the Jews. So what about their claim?

Did you read their message to Catholic Politicians?
This was part of it too.
Catholics in Political Life?

A document issued by USCCB

http://www.usccb.org/issues-and-act...urch-teaching/catholics-in-political-life.cfm

Key statements

killing of an unborn child is always intrinsically evil

If those who perform an abortion and those who cooperate willingly in the action are fully aware of the objective evil of what they do, they are guilty of grave sin

To make such intrinsically evil actions legal is itself wrong.

The legal system as such can be said to cooperate in evil when it fails to protect the lives of those who have no protection except the law.

Those who formulate law therefore have an obligation in conscience to work toward correcting morally defective laws, lest they be guilty of cooperating in evil and in sinning against the common good.

Catholics in Political Life

It is the teaching of the Catholic Church from the very beginning, founded on her understanding of her Lord’s own witness to the sacredness of human life, that the killing of an unborn child is always intrinsically evil and can never be justified. If those who perform an abortion and those who cooperate willingly in the action are fully aware of the objective evil of what they do, they are guilty of grave sin and thereby separate themselves from God’s grace. This is the constant and received teaching of the Church. It is, as well, the conviction of many other people of good will.

To make such intrinsically evil actions legal is itself wrong. This is the point most recently highlighted in official Catholic teaching. The legal system as such can be said to cooperate in evil when it fails to protect the lives of those who have no protection except the law. In the United States of America, abortion on demand has been made a constitutional right by a decision of the Supreme Court. Failing to protect the lives of innocent and defenseless members of the human race is to sin against justice. Those who formulate law therefore have an obligation in conscience to work toward correcting morally defective laws, lest they be guilty of cooperating in evil and in sinning against the common good.

The Bishops say the LAW allowing abortion is evil.

They are stupid because Jesus told them no one know when it’s coming literally & yet here we are…

, to reiterate - I didn’t vote for Hillary or trump

Yes you voted 3rd party or didn’t vote. But either way your standing on the sidelines saying " Mamas boy Please save the babies being slaughtered, sliced and put in a blender because Donald Trump is just to mean to me, and a narcissist, so can you vote for him"
Mamasboy33, Please address this - And, further, the number of reported abortions was down 25% during Obama’s presidency. So, abortions were significantly down during a democratic administration. Kinda negates your whole argument about having to vote for a terrible person to “save the babies”.

Save the babies from whom? Abortion was significantly down under the last Democrat.

Taken on it’s face, you cooperated in electing a person unfit to be President. Live with that.

you claim the philistines are the palestinians. the majority of the palestinians are muslim. muslims follow their lineage thru abraham who is considered the father of the muslims.

the philistines are gone by the return of the jews after the babylonian exile.

the philistines are believed to have been from crete and not native to the area. there are some who believe the philistines are from egypt, but this is still not palestinian. egyptians are more north african.

the arabs that are now called palestinians were not in the area prior to the jewish migration under the ottoman empire. they came in as a response to the jewish influx. most of the palestinians are really jordanians.

note under art 24 of the palestinian national charter of 1964. the PA does not exercise any regional sovereignty over the west bank and gaza.
Article 24. This Organization does not exercise any regional sovereignty over the West Bank in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on the Gaza Strip or the Himmah Area. Its activities will be on the national popular level in the liberational, organizational, political and financial fields.

i agree with this since many lebanese do not consider themselves arab but descendants of canaan. however, they are lebanese and not palestinians.

The sermon posted by Mama’sboy is teaching that comes from our Bishops. It’s not just an opinio
at the end of the video, he says those words are your bishops. apparently he read a letter from the bishop.

It’s an evangelical dog whistle. They believe that this hastens Armageddon by taking a step closer to Jewish control of the Temple Mount.
who are the they? which group believes they have any bearing on the end times. protestants have a tendency to pick a date for the end. i just don’t see it in the electorate. it is usually a mistaken preacher and a few followers, not enough to elect a president.

It sounded like he had just read that letter to Catholics in the political life too.

That was a very unusual sermon too. It was at one of the Church’s in my diocese . Can’t remember the name.I really like our Bishop. I wonder if he had anything to do with it.

Like i said idk but the Pope only said he is concerned,
the pope also wants open borders.

what is the motive of the refugee? it is not just to escape the war zone. they do not have to go to europe to do this. they could stop a lot closer to home. why do they say they are going to europe? just read their signs and listen to them speak. the immigrants coming in proclaim they will turn europe muslim within 50 years. it is the expansion of the religion.

with multiple wives and marrying younger women it is possible.

why doesn’t the pope want jerusalem to be recognized? what is the motive? is it the safety of the christians living there? they were being killed before the declaration. you can’t negotiate when one side says no to the existence of the other side. this may give them a reason to eliminate the three no’s. if they don’t, nothing has changed. tomorrow will bring another day and a different excuse to eliminate israel.

we must prove all things.

It’s your choice if you wish to put your head in the sand. But he says what he says.

I read there were other factors involved that have little to do with Obama;s prsidency

As I understand it, there is still Obama’s Executive Order that banned ACA from covering abortions. If Trump has done this, you guys would be singing Alleluia. Just sayin…

It’s more common than you may think. Have you ever heard of the Rapture? Part of Rapture theology is that the Temple in Jerusalem will be rebuilt, and that instead of God’s face on it, the Anti-Christ will put his instead. Catholic Answers has a nice article on it.

No one as far as I know. But that’s not what @PaulinVA was referring to, he was referring to this as in it is a sign that the Rapture is coming.

You’re right. It’s not the opinion polls that matter anyway. It’s how many actually come out to vote.

You’re right. The press then wouldn’t have been so enchanted with Apprentice shows and their hosts.

Thank you for all you said on your other post & this one also. That was awesome and thank you for helping me confirm.
