oin the righteous team not the hatred team sister
This seems like a very biased division there, MamasBoy. It comes across as though supporting Trump is “righteous” and anything else is "hatred’. It reflects some black and white thinking on your part, and explains why you have accused others who have any criticism toward Trump in this thread of “anger and hatred”. This is an artificial reality that exists in your mind.

Call it how you want but that’s far from true.
If it seems like that then maybe the Holy Spirit is telling you something and not me.

Yesterday when you slammed me i took it like a man and said " your socking it to me" you actually corrected me my brother. No harm there.
Its all good to me when I’m wrong I’m wrong

At Vatican City? or where? Can you cite a source for this?
Yeah the Pope called for open borders but i want to know of he was talking to America. He did day that though i remember.
We have to protect our country. I’m going to look into that. In matter of fact i was going to call relevant radio if i don’t find a great answer

muslims follow their lineage thru abraham who is considered the father of the muslims.
We’re (at least me) not talking about mythical origin stories, we’re talking genetics and DNA. There are a lot of good articles in Wikipedia about the various haplogroups in the Middle East. Have a look.

Did you read their message to Catholic Politicians?

This was part of it too.

Catholics in Political Life?
As I keep saying (and I’m tired of it, so I’m going to stop after this), you can say “Abortion is murder” or “Abortion is an intrinsic evil” until you’re blue in the face. That’s the Church’s official position, and I personally agree with it. But it’s not an argument. It’s a statement of belief.

The problem is that about half the population in the US DOESN’T agree with with it. And some people on this (and other) thread(s) believe that anyone who doesn’t believe as they do are hypocrites–that in fact, EVERYONE believes that abortion–at any stage–is killing a human being and is murder. That’s simply not true. Other religions and people who simply follow their consciences (atheists) DON’T believe it’s murder.

So your job is to convince almost everyone on the other side that you are right. You need a consensus, not a 51% majority. So good luck with that.

And I keep saying, and I’ll say for the last time on this thread, it’s not a question of “right” and “wrong,” as you think. Because about half the population disagrees with you. They think THEY are right. In those circumstances, for one side to impose it’s will on the other is wrong (an “intrinsic evil” if you like). If you think the “other side” is imposing its will on you, you are wrong. They are not forcing anyone to get an abortion–they are simply saying that it’s up to each individual to make that choice. They are removing the government from the decision. And where the population is divided about 50-50, I think that’s the right choice.

And for those who still think they’re “right” and want to impose their morality on the other 50%, I urge you to again flip the situation and ask yourself how you’d feel if abortion was forced on you (as it has been in China in the past). Or how you’d feel if Shari’a law were imposed on you. You’d feel there was a grave injustice, and you’d be right. The same thing applies with abortion. Until there is a general consensus that “abortion is murder. Abortion is an intrinsic evil” you have no right to impose your personal opinion, not matter how firmly you hold it, on others. And judging by the international consensus, you have a long way to go to convince the world that abortion is wrong. But by all means, give it a shot. But simply saying “Abortion is murder” is NOT an argument, it’s simply a statement of personal belief.

those who perform an abortion and those who cooperate willingly in the action are fully aware of the objective evil of what they do, they are guilty of grave sin
Some are, some aren’t. As Francis said, “Who are we to judge?”

Perhaps you could provide a source for this? I remember hearing in the news a comment he made about building walls without bridges…

Every country has the right and responsibility to protect its citizens. I would say that the Pope, our spiritual father, really does not have a say in how America controls the borders. What he can, and should do, is address the believers about how to implment the teachings of Christ in our policies and practices. Jesus and HIs family were refugees and immigrants, and the whole early church was scattered by persecution. The issues of emigration, immigration, refugees, and their impact upon families are a major concern for the Church.
Hey my brother have you heard of the term " snowflake"?
Yes, but most recently in relation to frozen embroyos, called “snowflake babies” and whether or not Catholics should adopt them and pay for their care for as long as they are alive. I suspect, though, that you are using this term in a different context?

We impose beliefs/morals all the time. We have laws that say it is wrong for adults to have sex with children. We even have laws that make it a felony to abuse animals by beating or starving them. Some people see these acts as intrinsically evil nd have imposed their will on the populace.

We have had a collective will we disagree with impose their values on us. We have been forced to accept same sex unions as "gay marriage’ and persons who do not want to sell cakes, flower arrangements or photograph such events are taken to court, fined, and lose their businesses.

We have been forced to support birth control and abortion through the use of public funds to pay for these acts.

Some of us feel we have been made party to illegal wars because of the choices of our leaders. I don’t know how you can say that the will of others is not imposed upon us.

I think what you are saying is that it is ok for a position to be imposed upon us so long as there is a consensus (in the US that means a “majoirity”). The NAMBLA (north american man boy love association is not in the consensus, nor are others who like to have sex with children, but the will of the majority has been imposed upon them and their activity is considered illegal and punishable.

It doesn’t matter what other religions say, what people say, What atheist say it matter what Jesus says.
Read on the Early Church Fathers and what they said in the first 5 centuries on abortion
I recommend buying " The fathers know best" by Jimmy Akin. He has a very good topic on that.
Once again " don’t follow the crowd" as it is put " we are in this world not of this world" .

These things me and you see eye to eye with. Your a true Catholic my bro.

Mamasboy33, Please address this - And, further, the number of reported abortions was down 25% during Obama’s presidency. So, abortions were significantly down during a democratic administration. Kinda negates your whole argument about having to vote for a terrible person to “save the babies”.
This argument is commonly used by those who justify not voting Republican. I wonder if it was around during slavery as well. “We can keep slavery legal, because most people don’t own slaves. And I’ve got more important things to worry about like the price of wheat. I even heard that slaves weren’t really people anyways. So really, what’s the harm?”
Taken on it’s face, you cooperated in electing a person unfit to be President. Live with that.
So far, President Trump has done a pretty job. The “experts” had their chance.

I suspect, though, that you are using this term in a different context?
Yeah i was using a different context. Pres Mr Delight (Trump) used the word College snowflake once to refer to peolple that are fragile and get easily offended. So when heat(words) is applied to them they easily melt(get mad) away.

I just finished talking to a Nun and she defends Trump. Just thought i share that with you

I don’t think the man is a good Christian or a good human being, and I find it baffling that some people regard his election as some kind of triumph for Christian values.
It speaks to 2 things:
  1. Very low-quality candidates by the Democrats
  2. I’ve never been sold on the idea that Trump is a religious guy. I don’t think he cares about abortion or the nuclear family much and says and does certain things to hold his base. When I voted for him, I figured we could use the GOP Senators to hold his feet to the fire because he was on the GOP ticket and that he would pick slightly better judges than Clinton would have.
So far it seems to have worked out pretty well, but the question is for how long.
