Do Catholics still support Trump

I take you mean if she won the entire election?

You’re presuming that a vote for Trump would have guaranteed to save those babies for starters. But for the sake of this hypothetical, let’s say that yes, Trump would save them. Well, I’ll say this again as a Texan. There ain’t no way that Hillary Clinton would win Texas! Trump won with a 9% margin and took all of Texas’s electoral college votes, and the winner takes all 34(?) electoral college votes. That leaves a remaining 4.6% who voted third party. That would not have helped Clinton win in the slightest. If the rest of the country somehow voted her in, then that’s on them.

But let’s say that somehow, against all predictions and the very culture of Texas itself, Clinton won both Texas and the election. I’d feel ashamed that she won and scared for my faith. But I wouldn’t blame myself. Why? Because I voted as best as I could in accordance with my conscience and with what information I had available. I could not, and would not, have predicted that she would win Texas.

Let me ask you a question to help you understand my reasoning. What would you do if Trump came out and said, “I’ve changed my mind, abortion is profitable in America, let’s open more clinics”?

As you should know, the popular vote does not decide the election, the electoral college does. That point is moot.

EDIT: Fixed spelling.

It is not appropriate for you to berate others and disaparage them for voting their conscience.
It could be an appropriate criticism, especially given the tone of some 3rd Party voters.

One does wonder how much of it was them just trying to look and feel good in front of the right people versus actual principle.

People also need to properly formulate their consciences, and the adversity to Trump supporters is concerning because people with a settled, enlightened conscience do not need to act like that.

Suffice to say just saying “I voted my conscience, and you can’t touch me” is not going to fly on here.

I don’t recall you saying you polled a Bishop, nun, or Cardinal. Which one(s) did you ask?

Because I voted as best as I could in accordance with my conscience and with what information I had available
Ok i could live with that from you. I love that, i could see now where your coming from.
For me i listened and got advice from Catholic radio so i was committed to my vote

Have you talked to your local priest deacon bishop and cardinals? Ummm

Go to the nearest Nun and ask her?

Or even easier how about you call Patrick Madrid from Catholic radio 6-9 am Pacific time.

Heres the number 888-914-9149
My bishop said we get the leaders we deserve. I don’t think he is a fan of Trump.

Mines a fan.

It’s almost like people are individuals and just because they like a politician you don’t doesn’t mean they’re less Catholic than you

Ouch that would hurt me. Aww man that would get me 😠 lol lol

And anyone that likes Trump has nothing that I would consider worth listening to on spiritual matters.

Well, then some adjustments and clarification are needed.

I don’t think that voting 3rd Party was a sin. There’s drawbacks and advantages to that. What bothers me is that so many people who were 3rd Party in 2016 seem more interested in taking down Trump than working on these issues they say they are purer on.

It really should give people pause when Evan McMillan goes on MSNBC as often he does and it’s painfully obvious they were using him as attempt to undermine Trump in Utah.

Also, like it or not, the Democrats use 3rd Parties to their advantage. The GOP hasn’t really had the courage to do this yet, but Democrats in Illinois will try and keep the Green Party off the ballot while promoting Libertarians.

People need to be careful that they don’t just become pawns. If all someone can do is trash, it tells me they are great candidates for being molded as a tool for an agenda they say they don’t necessarily want.

The Trump supporters on here generally pretty reflective. A lot of them have said they understand what they are getting into and what the choice is and what could happen. My decision process was about Trump picking better judges than Clinton.

I think the criticism against those who blindly support Trump and would allow him to do something but not Obama would better spend their energy on twitter, not on CAF.

Well that’s how I would roughly feel about Clinton taking Texas!

Now, I cannot be the only one who voted third party based off conscience and available information. It wouldn’t be a stretch, then, if other third party voters picked their choices with a similar process, yes?

Some did, but you have to be reflective about it. 3rd Party candidates aren’t perfect either and neither is voting for them.

me reverse that. Give me a few examples of what he has done that is compatible with being a Catholic.
He doesn’t have to be Catholic.
Plus he has a pro-life conscience, that’s enough for us.
The man is a prayer warrior, loves the bible, talks with the Pope.
Pluscwe didn’t vote for Trump to be pope we voted for him to be president

don’t think that voting 3rd Party was a sin.
Yes i agree with you my bro. I’m trying to tell them that when i said voting 3rd party was standing on the sidelines was my OPINION.
So me im a moron lol, just because i give an opinion didn’t make me a shot caller on what sin is.
