Complete nonsense. It is NOT a sin of any kind to kill bugs.Thou shalt not kill.
Was the death and suffering of the bug necessary is an important question.
-was the bug poisonous? / dangerous to health/ did it have a sting/ bite,
-was the only way to get the bug outdoors, to kill it first?
(Legitmate reasons to kill a bug).
Or
-if it was just to take pleasure out of unnecessary animal suffering, then that is against the Catechism which states that unnecessary suffering / animal death, is not christian.
So the question in each situation is:
-is this necessary?
Our Jain friends would disagree with that summary. But they believe that human souls can transmigrate into insects and other bugs. The Roman Catholic Church considers this to be a heresy.Complete nonsense. It is NOT a sin of any kind to kill bugs.
