I like him but there is one thing. It seems I can only listen to him when he is on the Radio. There is something that, when he is on the TV, makes it hard for me to watch.
Interesting observation. In our hypersaturated media environment we may tend to forget about the reality that some things do indeed communicate better over one medium than another,I like him but there is one thing. I like Father Corapi better on TV. I like to see his facial expressions. The radio doesn’t allow you to see these expressions.WanderAimlessly:![]()

I don’t like him because he’s loud.I think why some people are “offended” by Father Corapi is because he “touches” something in them that needs attention. Oftentimes I find when I am "bothered " by what someone says it is because it is that very thing I need to “fix” within me.
Not to mention, a little fire and brimstone never hurt anyone. I’d listen to him speak anyday.I bet not too many people fall asleep during his sermons.

My sentiments exactly.Hate to bust up the love fest, but I don’t really care for his preaching style. His message is great but the style of delivery (use of his voice, volume) is not my favorite. He reminds me a bit of a tent revival preacher with the dramatic delivery on occasion.
To each his own, so I’m sure many other people enjoy listening to him and get a lot out of it. I would rather read the book than listen to the video for most anyone including him.
Then you probably haven’t heard Father Larry Richards. Now he is loud. It seems as if Fr Larry is actually shouting at you as if he is scolding you. Father Corapi does not do that. I do like the message that Father Larry Richards gives and he is soft at times also. But I just like Father Corapi better.I don’t like him because he’s loud.
He doesn’t look at the camera because he is there with an audience. He is not there as a news reporter or the like. He is there for the audience. It would seem wierd to me if he looked at the camera even once or twice. It would seem along the lines if an actor would accidentally look at the camera as he is acting in a TV show or something. However… I do love to listen to him. HIs message is fine but why does he NEVER EVER EVER look into the camera! It’s like he is unaware he is being video taped.
If he never looks at the camera, the camera ought to spend more time showing something besides the side of his head.
Then maybe you should get his conversion story. You could get it free from the Mary Foundation. If you listen to his story first then that would set it up for you to listen and understand better where he’s coming from.Since I don’t know the guy, I have to base my ‘like and dislike’ on the persona presented on the video’s.
Thanks for the link Sandy! I love free stuff and I am going to see if I can get Scott Hahn’s as well to share with our sperated brethren. He doesn’t look at the camera because he is there with an audience. He does seem to “wander” but he always has a good reason and he comes to the point as to why he seems to “wander” off.I like him—but not too much at a time. For the last year or so, I’ve started listening to catholic CD’s in my car while driving and Fr. Corapi is one of the reasons why. Now, if I don’t have one I just drive in silence.
He tends to wander too much for me and his sermons tend to blend together.
So do I and I can also tell his stories myself! http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i85/Alegre-Fe/Emoticons/Laughing.gif Isn’t that great though?! http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i85/Alegre-Fe/Emoticons/ha.gifI have his Catechism on CD as well as several others-----Many of his stories I can tell myself now.
