Majority of NE does not have the rate of infection as NYC, one major city. It is a big area, with very little disease. We are totally locked now for 42 days.
Our small coastal towns have a high proportion of older residents and for the most part a rural health care system. The communities did not want to be over-run with vacationers from Portland or Seattle. Likewise, some of the places near the parks. They felt their health care system could not withstand even a moderate outbreak, so the locals were not against the mayors asking the tourists to leave.

Some Americans stay thin walking to and from the food and soup lines.
Not many, and especially not many here. The food pantries aren’t within walking distance of most of their clients. Worse yet, the food pantries are lacking volunteers, because so many of their regular workers are retired and sticking at home.

This virus was here way before March. Spent a lot of time near Boston prior to the outbreak and am glad I did not get it.

Now that we have more information, I feel less fearful, know the risks and can’t wait to get back to the outdoors.

Yeah, it was on the West Coast before March, too, but March 14 was the day of the first death in both Oregon and New York (if my memory serves correctly).

Getting outdoors is a very good thing. When you do, be safe. When it is severe, COVID-19 is a miserable disease, even for those who survive it.

And then they wonder why the death toll is so high. in some places it comes down to senicide; forced euthanasia.

As for the doctors in te video, thise doctors are not on the front line? Are you saying they are liars?
I have not said that they are liars.
But they are not in the front-lines.
ER doctors for 20 years seems to qualify as front line worker.
They are not ER doctors presently, nor are they working in an area that could be considered front-line,
That is fear mongering, speculation about number of “potential” deaths.
What model of epidemics do you use? What are its projections? Why would
dire projections be called fear mongering?
Japan has not seen that happen. There economy has never shut down.
What did they do to stem the tide? Why was that not done here?

Political pressure does wonders. Anything that goes against the official narrative gets clamped down and besmirched. Instead of actually addressing the valid points being made, they simply deny, besmirch, dismiss and issue a news headline. Typical way, just like the CDC dealt with their vaccine whistleblowers.

So those two doctors are conspiracy theorists? Do you ever wonder why it takes whistleblowers to blow the whistle on organizations?

Based on the official narrative, they are mistaken; based on the evidence, they are right in target.

What on earth? This isn’t a math problem. There isn’t a “right” answer or a “wrong” answer… do the calculation, slamming ICUs this much is correct but slamming ICUs this much is incorrect.
They say, “We’ve never seen where we quarantine the healthy,” but the problem is that we know that it is not possible to know who the healthy are. The evidence is that this is not a disease where people with symptoms always have it (most people with COVID-like symptoms do not have it) or where most people capable of transmitting the virus have symptoms (it would seem that about half those infected are asymptomatic).

We know from Wuhan and places with the most serious outbreaks that community spread is enough to slam the hospitals beyond their capacity to keep up. We know that the impact of very strict restrictions on contact outside one’s household is having a devastating economic impact that will last well beyond the immediate epidemic itself.

There is no “right” answer. There are a lot of hard choices. I’m personally in favor of a judicious set of restrictions, but the problem with this pandemic has been that we do not yet know how to give people the most freedom of movement without unleashing a local onslaught that overwhelms the hospitals. We don’t know how to identify a local outbreak fast enough.

It is pointless to argue about what “the evidence” says, unless you’re talking the extreme positions that this has a MERS-like case-fatality rate or else that this has such a low case-fatality rate that it is no big deal. There is a lot of real estate in-between, partly by the nature of what we do know about this virus and partly because there is so much we don’t know and because of the limitations on finding out in time to make the information the most useful.

Yes we do know: Wash your hands often, cover your mouth when you cough, don’t sneeze without suppressing it, if you are among the vulnerable groups, namely elderly and people who have weak immunity systems, take extra precautions, if you are sick, don’t go to work.

Treat it like the flu virus the only difference is that it is much more contagious, yet the percent of people who recover from it is like the flu. This is not 1918. We have disinfectants, better living conditions, soap and Lysol, vitamin C, Lysol wipes, cleaning pads, sprays that kill 99.99 percent of viruses-including the Corona virus; hand sanitizer; and by the looks of it, people are hoarding these product for self defense.

The problem is politics, from people who don’t-want-to-make-America-great-again during an election year (after the false dossier, the Russia Hoax, and impeachment trial all fell flat) and groups who are using this crisis for nefarious purposes, from senicide to vaccination schedules, ane euthanasia in the name of overpopulation control, while preparing societies for total control.

Tens of thousands of vulnerable people die every year from the highly contagious flu; yet we don’t see the powers that be shutting down anything. yet here we are, putting millions of people out of work, destroying the service industry, collapsing economies, and scaring people to death. And now the talk about forced vaccines if one expects to resume being a functioning member of society.

I always wondered how an entire world would be controlled as described in Revelation 13, when the powers that be:

forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark”

Oh, good grief. This is all because there are too many people who don’t want to Make America Great Again?

This pandemic response is NOT about the presidential elections in the United States. The entire planet is not responding to this pandemic in the way they are because they’re obsessed with Donald Trump. China didn’t lock down cities and close factories to spite Donald Trump. No, just like him the Communists at first tried to pretend that this infection was no big deal, look away, nothing to see here!! Just like him, they’re now pretending that they’re the greatest adversaries of the virus of anybody! Just like him, they’re pointing fingers in every direction except their own! That parallel ought to give any reasonable person a reason to pause and ask, “Hmmm. why is that? Because the virus isn’t really that bad?”

In spite of what he and his supporters think, the whole rest of the world does not rise and fall with his polling numbers. That’s just you people and your little Trump-centric worldview that sees it that way.

Nonsense. The entire world is part of the global order, and senicide, euthanasia, abortion, sterile sex/gay marriage and centralized government are all part of the same gospel being pushed upon the global population by the same people pushing for forced vaccines, and who are in control of leftist politics in the U.S.A. Plenty of real evidence showing this virus was man-made, and we also know that Biological warfare is spread through viruses; weapons used to Kill off the weak, spread fear and collapse economies. Even the corona virus testing kits are contaminated by the virus itself. it´s all bout spreading fear and preparing society to respond to the whistle, when they unleash the next wave. The United States has a global impact, and Trump and the upcoming election are in the way.
