Must be a “grass is greener on the other side” complex we have.

I do not want the US to rule over another country. I like being partly isolated.

get off of our backs

we defeated you in two wars

and pulled your bacon out of the frying pan in two others

Isnt there another similar thread to this.

Your title is quite inflammatory in my book

It certainly wasn’t intended that way. It’s not like i am disrespecting Americans. Neither am i necessarily accusing anyone of anything. It’s just a qeustion…

The other thread asks if it is Americas job to rule the world.

WE NEVER STARTED WARS
America invaded Iraq and started that war. And it started many, many wars against the American Indian, who was living in North America peacefully until the white man invaded their territory. Since 1776, American has been at war about 222 out of 239 years. I guess that the military industrial complex has a grip on America and on Americans otherwise you would see Americans promoting peace instead of wars.

wow; very harsh

and the brits are so much better… ?

NOT

the brits are the definition of “empire builders”

until the the americans kicked their can twice & broke their bank…

It seems like every-time somebody points out a problem with the American war machine, instead of acknowledging the problem you feel compelled to condemn the actions of other countries., Why is that?
Is America beyond reproach and criticism?

i wish UK had a “war machine”

maybe my taxes would be somewhat lower if the USA was spared from defending your broken down, lame nation…

Whats with all these insults?

There is a difference between loving ones country because you are proud of it, and loving ones country so much that you turn a blind eye to it’s faults. The former is good, the latter is bordering on idolatry.

It does sound that you may not be aware there are treaties about the nuclear. In this case,it isn t a US issue only.
Have you heard about the NPT?
Sorry if you do know. I mention them just in case

all you’ve done in this thread is attack the USA & not admit one fault on the part of your own nation; which has been more or less parasitic on US defense largess for decades

when did the UK decide it was OK to stop defending themselves & to demand the USA taxpayers do it for them?

True. And they put the Irish people in servitude for many years. They still hold on to Northern Ireland. And they tried to rule over all of India. They won’t give up Gibralta which is Spanish territory.
OTOH, I went to a conference in Guelph Ontario recently and from Canada, (still part of the British Commonwealth), I drove over the border to Buffalo NY. What a huge difference in cleanliness there was. The USA was really filthy, at least in the Buffalo NY area, compared to how beautifully neat and clean Ontario Canada was.

your solution to the problem?

i got one; you limeys are on your own…

by the way your ships are second rate…

The Uk has already found it’s solution. They got you doing our work for us. But if you are asking me personally? I don’t know. America could cut ties with the UK, but i don’t think that is in America’s best interest. I guess having the most powerful war-machine in the world just isn’t enough.

There are where treaties and agreements come in.
You have common ground on the Non -Proliferation Treaty.
Data upon which you may agree to deal with.
Less…volatile than a vague question.
And now I step out.
