Does the Book of Mormon contain the fullness of the gospel?

The critics enjoy attacking the church because they have issues with the mission of the church.
The mission of the church is to lead all people to Christ. That’s a good thing. I have no issue with that.

My experience in Mormonism caused me to seek out Christ and I found him in the Catholic Church. See how it works? Your church’s mission was accomplished.

You should be proud of that, son!

What is the mission of the Mormon church, Courting Tex?

Perfect the saints.
Proclaim the gospel.
Redeem the dead.

In 2009 they added care for the poor and needy.

The central mission is “to assist our Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ, in their grand and glorious mission “to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.” (Moses 1:39.)”. Ie, to make gods.

This is the mission of the Mormon church?

Why is perfecting the saints first on their list? Who are the saints in their view? And how does a Mormon perfect anyone when only Jesus can do that through knowing and walking with Him 24/7/365?

“To become gods” is what I was told by other Mormons. Sadly for Mormons, they aren’t going to become gods after they die.

People who badmouth the Book of Mormon never had the Faith or Determination to read it, pray about it, fast for twenty-four Hours, end with a Prayer, praying for Divine Wisdom as you take in the Knowledge of the Fullness of the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST as it has been restored by the Prophet Joseph Smith, Junior.
That’s simply false. I have done all of those, multiple times. And the Holy Ghost clearly told me that it was NOT TRUE.

Nobody can tell me that the HOLY GHOST never testified to my Heart that the Book of Mormon is true and the ultimate Testifier of CHRIST’s Atonement and that HE lives and breathes today.
And NOBODY can tell me that the HOLY GHOST never testified to my Heart that the Book of Mormon is a fraud.

-Redeem the Dead, Proclaim the Fullness of the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST as it has been restored to the Earth, and to perfect the Saints (assuming the Saints are not already perfect).
Yep. It’s not Christ’s mission to do those things. It’s the Church’s. Think about it . . . now the Church is the redeemer, not Christ.

How do you perfect the saints? You don’t even believe in your own concept of grace because you believe that you must be perfect before His grace is sufficient for you.

The Book of Mormon was collected Stories specifically for 1830-? on until CHRIST’s Second Coming. GOD ordered them to write down, from the time right before the Babylonian Destruction of Jerusalem, approximately 600 B.C. to 421 Anno Domini.
Oh, really? So when did they take the Book of Ether out of it?

I just find that Naysayers do not even get through 1st. Nephi and put it down without even praying for Guidance. Too many anti-Christians who hate.
I’ve read the entire BOM at least two dozen times. I prayed for guidance hundreds and hundreds of times. Guess what? I got it.

No one has badmouthed the BoM. And it’s because we have read it that we can speak with authority about its contents.

Also, we have spoken to other Mormons and seen and heard their actions and words.

Sorry, due. But in the words of The Who, “we won’t be fooled again” (by members of your church or by its teachings). You are free to believe as you wish about your chosen religion, its founder and its leaders through the years. We will continue to tell you the truth and pray that the Holy Spirit speaks to your heart and opens your eyes.

“Kolob” was the word that made me see how false the BoM is. I couldn’t stop laughing about it. Still gives me a chuckle today although I realize Mormons take it very seriouusly.

Thank you. Are the Saints Mormons? The Gospel of Jesus Christ is in the Holy Bible. Joseph Smith didn’t restore it although he did write his own version of the Bible, the Joseph Smith Translation.

Again, I ask, how do Mormons perfect anyone when only Jesus can do that through the person walking with, growing in and knowing Him 24/7/365?

And what is Jesus’ Second Coming, according to the Mormon Church? Do you also believe that the Apostle John is still alive walking the earth? (I was told this by a Mormon I spoke with and am wondering if this is an individual belief or whether all Mormons believe it.)

Please allow me to correct you on one of our deceased Prophet’s Divine Revelations from the LORD.
I know about ETB. I was in my second bishopric assignment when he was the president of the church.
The LORD directed through First President Ezra Taft Benson that the Church must redeem the Dead through Temple Ordinances which were done by Paul the Apostle and his fellow Apostles.
Really?

The Apostle Paul was washed and anointed in the temple and a holy garment of the priesthood was placed on him?

He received a new name in the temple?

He swore blood oaths in the temple and made symbols to slit his throat, slit his heart and slit his bowels if he revealed the names, signs and tokens?

He practiced the 'true order of prayer" in the temple?

He was sealed to his family in the temple?

He performed baptisms for the dead in the temple? Paul did endowments for the dead in his temple?

He learned certain handshakes and tokens in the temple that would allow him to pass by the guardian angels that protected the gates to the celestial kingdom?

The story of the creation of the world was performed by actors in his temple?

Please tell me more.

I am not sure what you mean about me being perfect.
I’m saying that your scriptures teach that you must be perfect before the grace of God will have any efficacy in your life. Which is odd, because if you’re perfect, you don’t need the grace of God.
