This is similar to the threat that ISIS makes.
If we look at this internationally, the condemnation of ISIS was almost universal among nations. USA, Russia, China, Europe, etc.

It’s not hard to figure out why. ISIS did mass executions, mass sexual slavery, mass extortion.

I doubt anybody here can say anything to get you to change your mind, but good luck getting much recognition for your views outside of hardline Islamic circles.

Iran has declared war on us since 1979, by words and deeds. Now we are condemned for protecting our people.

Non-American here, and from what I’ve seen, the criticism inclines more to the fact that Trump ordered the assassination without the knowledge and approval of Congress and may have potentially set into motion a war (I do not believe a war will happen, just informing you what the criticism is about). The criticism is in no way, as far as I’ve seen, out of any consideration or love for Soleimani or Islamism, so one struggles to figure out what you mean in your post.

That excuse for war only holds if our people are in clear imminent danger, and then only to the extent necessary to avert that danger. So far all we see is the remote possibility of danger, the same as we see from a dozen other countries.

If he had told Congress , the Dems would have leaked it to Iran. They hate him more than Iran.

Targeting cultural sites is a war crime. He’s threatening war crimes by tweet. Stable genius my aunt.

All evidence shows that Mohammed Bin Salmad has Kashogghi killed and dismembered. He was a US resident and the dad of US citizens.

I’m not going to understand the closeness to the Saudis (all 9/11 hijackers were Saudi) with their plethora of human rights violations. While simultaneously calling out Iran.

The multinational treaty that was in place with Iran was working. Trump pulled out of unilaterally.

My son just turned 18. We’ve been at war his entire life.

He didn’t inform congress but hinted to county club members of Mar-a-lago. His personal resort that he calls the Winter White House.

Again reminding everyone, mar-a-lago is a resort. Not a private residence. It’s not a secure location. I can imagine the level of espionage they can occur there. He hasn’t given it up as he promised.

Iran has oil too. Saudi human rights abuses are terrible. Iran also has human rights abuses. At least women can vote and drive.

And there is freedom at least to produce this art:

No clue why we seem to have sided with one over the other. Both are Islamic theocracies…why SA over Iran?

Do you seriously believe this?

I kindly request anyone who wishes to discuss this topic to deal only with concrete facts and not partisan propaganda.

I don’t know.

That short film is beautiful by the way.

Hope you got to watch it.

Let’s see

The Dems gave Iran $1.6 billion in pallets of cash

The Dems gave Trump two articles of impeachment

Why this sudden uber focus upon this airstrike
which targeted one person during an undeclared war,
and is being piggy-backed upon Catholic Just War Teachings?

It’s but a drop in the ocean … of all killings by all militaries…

The Dems gave Trump two articles of impeachment
Again, my meagre knowledge of American politics has nothing to say to this but point out that the “Dems” did not “give” Trump two articles of impeachment but that it was Trump who “gave” himself two articles of impeachment by withholding Congressionally-approved aid to a U.S ally in dire need of said aid and attempting to have said U.S ally investigate a political opponent’s son. I do not believe American presidents are autocrats or godkings who are allowed to do whatever they want, no matter how much some people may wish Trump were so. Sorry. Trump should have learned that his actions have consequences from his impeachment. His recent actions against Iran have determined that he has not.
