So you should use the word “conspiracy”Look at the charges. Tied to all of them is “Conspiracy Against The United States”
Conspiracy Against The United States is an actual Federal criminal charge. I’m not using that term, that’s spelled out in the Title 18, Chapter 19, Section 371:niceatheist:![]()

In criminal law, a conspiracy is an agreement between two or more persons to commit a crime at some time in the future.
It comes back to breaking some law. Speaking to the enemy of your enemy does not break a law by itself.
Sure. The real target is Trump.Paul Manafort is a peripheral character?
That doesn’t mean his senior campaign staff and advisers aren’t targets either. After all, the accusation is that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians. It’s conceivable (if not entirely believable) that Trump himself may have had no involvement, so no, it doesn’t necessarily mean Trump is the target, and it certainly doesn’t somehow make his first campaign manager a “peripheral character”.niceatheist:![]()

But Hillary is not the US Govt.Conspiracy Against The United States is an actual Federal criminal charge. I’m not using that term, that’s spelled out in the Title 18, Chapter 19, Section 371:
Strictly speaking, the accusation is members of Trump’s campaign. But why don’t we start with the indictment against Paul Manafort:Perhaps you can articulate how the OP topic shows Trump conspired against the US Govt.
That would be a significant contribution to the topic, on your part.
Yes, regarding the charges, which are all unrelated to the campaign. There are no charges regarding the Russia investigationRidgerunner:![]()
Paul Manafort is a peripheral character?JonNC:![]()
None of them, and none of them is charged with it either. The Mueller investigation is, so far, like most “special prosecutor” investigations. They depart from their ostensible purpose and try to get peripheral characters convicted of something unrelated.Really? Who pleaded guilty to colluding with Russia?
Ahh, the indictment that is completely irrelevant to the campaign.Strictly speaking, the accusation is members of Trump’s campaign. But why don’t we start with the indictment against Paul Manafort:

You know they can’t do this. They will always deflect to Clinton. They know nothing else. They have nothing else. This thread is not about Hillary, Bill, or anyone or anything else other then the title of this thread. Why can we not stay on target. Discuss the title, true, false, or other wise.
What was Mueller’s Assignment?Really? Who pleaded guilty to colluding with Russia?
Trump called the Assignment a “Witch Hunt”Robert Mueller was appointed special counsel to oversee the previously-confirmed FBI investigation of the Russian government efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election, and related matters.
The only one mentioning collusion is JonNC and Trump?Three Witches were discovered in the guises of Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, and George Papadopoulos. The latter which of pleaded guilty of being a witch.
The current charges no…future charges…well we will have to wait and see. Then there you are. The charges are not related in any way to Trump or the campaign
