If he didn’t want Pence he wouldn’t of picked him I sense real fear front he left
If he really wanted Pence, he wouldn’t have been grasping at straws trying to back out of it Thursday night.

But frankly I don’t see why you think the left fears him. He’s unpopular in his home state with both the left and the right, he does nothing to broaden Trump’s appeal to moderates, and frankly he’s a bit of a dimwit in his comments (reminds me of Dan Quayle). If anything I welcome Trump picking Pence. It likely seals the election for Clinton and she hasn’t even picked her VP yet. The leaks about Trump’s own indecisiveness on the pick are just sauce for the goose. 👍

I think it is a great pick, and liberals telling me how it is an awful pick proves it.🙂

Grasping at straws??? LOL if he didn’t want Pence all he had to do was say so

Probably because he didn’t want to pick Pence in the first place. But now he’s stuck with a VP he really doesn’t want. 😃
You might be onto something there.
There are only a handful of people who would have the knowledge needed to leak this information. Interestingly, the person who seemed to be the least happy about Pence was Donald Trump.
CNN reported that Trump really wanted Chris Christie as his running mate. Trump spent a Monday interview with The Washington Post claiming that his VP pick was meaningless and wouldn’t help the ticket.
Looking back, it’s clear that Trump was trying to downplay expectations for a running mate that he didn’t want. It appears that the biggest critic of Mike Pence is his own running mate. Trump has a history of leaking stories to the press, so it would surprise absolutely no one if the leak were authorized by Trump himself.
Trump postponed his scheduled press conference announcing his running mate on Thursday night because he was angry that Indiana Republicans had already leaked word that the choice was going to be Pence. It seems that Mike Pence was forced on Donald Trump by his campaign manager Paul Manafort and the Republican Party.politicususa.com/2016/07/15/donald-trump-trashes-vp-report-leaks-trump-dump-mike-pence.html

Funny that no one else is reporting that except the ClintonNewsNetwork.😃

First people were complaining that “only” NBC was reporting this. Now your complaining that “only” CNN is reporting this. 😃

Actually CNN’s Dana Bash broke the story this morning and then Kelly O’Donnell from NBC reported that she had also talked to someone inside the campaign who confirmed the story. Two separate reporters from two separate organizations-both saying they personally spoke to a campaign insider who said that Trump was on the phone until midnight trying to find a way to drop Pence without looking like a heel.

Hillary Clinton’s VP hasn’t been leaked, but her shortlist has: europe.newsweek.com/quora-question-does-hillarys-campaign-benefit-having-her-vp-shortlist-leaked-478236

Who leaked it? Her campaign? If so, what does this say about her campaign?
I think it says that we have two candidates, neither one of whom are liked by a majority of Americans. We also have two candidates who have had their share of campaign issues. It will certainly be an interesting election.

Her campaign probably leaked the short list. They almost always do. It’s a way to “float” the candidates to see the reaction of the public. Heck, Trump’s short-list was being openly discussed. People ON the short-list were even discussing it. No one was calling that a leak.

Most of the liberal sites are pretty happy he picked Pence. They are comparing him to Sarah Palin without the pizzazz. BTW she is too busy at home to come to the convention. It should be interesting.

This is almost too fun. This entire election has been people making fun of and laughing at trump from all conceiveable angles while he keeps winning to everyone’s chagrin. The Trend will continue. Can’t wait!

At this point, nothing would surprise me. Glad you are back. Where have you been?

Keeps winning what? There is no trend. All he has won is a Republican nomination during a process in which for much of it there were a large number of other candidates splitting the vote.

Trump’s campaign has been leaking like a sieve this week. First, his V.P. pick was leaked a solid day before his planned big announcement and now this. After hearing all the reports about the drama last night, I’m starting to think Manafort leaked the Pence pick to force Trump’s hand. It sounds like Trump was the only one who wanted Christie and was getting a big push from Manafort and the kids to pick Pence.

Whoever leaked the “back-out” story really, really wanted that story out there. Multiple sources are reporting it and both Dana Bash and Kelly O’Donnell have said they spoke directly to campaign insiders who confirmed the late night drama. Ultimately, Trump was told he would look like a big heel if he went back on his word to Pence. It’s sad he had to be told that.

Funny, as I was writing this, I heard on the news that Trump is furious that his big roll at plans were spoiled by the early leak of Pence as his pick. I wouldn’t want to be the leaker(s) when Trump finds out who’s talking.
I agree. It could be that the reason the leakers believe they can get away with it is that they are related to him.

How stupid of him not to know there was going to be a terrorist attack in Nice You do know that Pence had only until noon today to file for re-election? Given that what do you propose Trump should have done differentially?
The campaign should not have leaked the pick. Or leaked Trump’s vacillation over the pick. And Trump should have gone ahead with his announcement, which he ultimately did anyway.

I think it is the best of the three finalists, but still overall a bad pick. He does not balance the ticket, does not deliver any particular group of voter or geography, and is not a great campaigner. Other than that, he’s fine.
