Living on a remote Irish island sounds nice in theory but how are we supposed to support ourselves? Is this invitation only open to the fabulously wealthy?
So far most of the people threatening to leave have been from the Hollywood elite class, so wealth is assumed.

Tho is funny. I’ve been telling the hubs that if zHilaru wins, we’ll move back to County Mayo. We still have his ancestral home and a 64 acre cattle farm there…about 14 miles from the Atlantic.

Gonna miss ya, Clare! LOL…but if the other guy wins, maybe you can sell me the farm?😃

Well if they are trying to lure families then a rabidly pro democrat group isn’t really your best option. They most likely would get SSM couples, childfree, and pro aborts. None of whom would build a solid plan for population growth. I also don’t know of many pro Clinton supporters that would give up their urban chic lifestyle for a more pastoral way of life.

Seems their best bet would be to appeal to strong Catholic familes that retch at the though of a Clinton presidency. Heck 4 or 5 large Catholic families could double their population. Many of them would likely stick around if there was extended family on the island.
Yeah, they’re barking up the wrong tree. They should be begging for those who couldn’t tolerate the Clintons.

I’m game. Don’t suppose they need an advertising planner there though.

Clare, I am hereby booking my room at your home in Mayo! 😉

Serious pro-lifers should not listen to a word from Mark Shea with regard to the pro-life movement and also gun culture, though that is a separate discussion.

When you have a blogger quoting Ratzinger to justify a moral imperative to vote for Hillary because of Trump that tells me pretty much all I need to know about his pro-life credentials.

Shea has said that for pro-lifers they need to embrace gun culture or else they are just anti-abortion but not pro-life.

Shea believes that pro-lifers are like battered wives with regard to their support of the republican party and they apparently do nothing.

It can be said that Shea is not pro-life because when he doesn’t believe in the right of civilians to use self defense to protect themselves (he doesn’t think anyone should have a gun at home because its too dangerous) then he truly isn’t pro-life.

Considering that New York is Mr. Trump’s home state, these poll numbers are not that surprising and +12 is still a very big Clinton lead for Mr. Trump to overcome.
👍 Regardless if it’s + 30, +12, +1… it still adds up to +29 Electoral votes for Hillary Clinton. Not Donald Trump.

From the Boston Pilot, Boston’s Catholic Newspaper:

Can a Catholic in good conscience vote for Trump?

Note: Also pay attention to the pro-life considerations raised in the article, and the doubts about Trump in connection with these. The Boston Pilot is not liberal by any means. You can’t blame the source, if you intended to do so as the usual deflection strategy to dismiss what is said here.
" … doubts about Trump … "

There are NO DOUBTS about Clinton.

I would trust a church run charity over a pro abortion government that just wants people on welfare for a long time…they don’t want to teach them “to fish”.
How do you teach an infant to fish or the young mother trying to care for that infant?

How do you teach an infant to fish or the young mother trying to care for that infant?
Certainly not by promoting anti-family rhetoric, teaching young women through media and education programs that serial loveless sexual relationships are empowering to them, that women don’t need men in their lives to be faithful fathers to those children, that abortion (the wanton killing of unwanted babies) is ALWAYS the preferred option – in short everything the Democratic Party stands for – are the “rights” owed to those young women cum young mothers who will then teach any infants who fortuitously survive the -]Herodian/-] Hillarian/PP slaughter of infants those same values.

Sure, continue the narrative that young mothers and infants are entirely helpless and, therefore, completely beholden to big government – i.e., fishing is a fruitless and useless task – that will surely keep women AND children on the government’s fish dole.

Interesting discussion of BLM that morphs into precisely this issue (at about the 14:00 mark.)

Trump is not well received on the international stage.

Fortunately there is zero chance that he will win the Presidency.

Did you ever see West Side Story?

There is a scene where the Sharks and the Jets agree to have a fair fight, where the the strongest member of each gang have a fist fight.

The Democrats were going to pick Hillary.

So what do the republicans do when many people don’t like Hillary? And they could have won in a landslide?

They pick Trump.

McCain wasn’t good enough, too moderate. Romney, a devoted family man wasn’t good enough, too moderate.

I have voted for Republicans because of life issues. And this guy has no pro-life credentials. Oh except for a super-star acquaintance, that wasn’t aborted.

He praised planned parenthood for crying out loud. During the campaign. He’s the best that we could have come up with?

I cringe to think of the debates.

Doesn’t the SC make any difference to you? Trump, with all his flaws, has given us a list of those judges he would nominate. We know what kind of justices Hillary would nominate. Neither party has done itself proud with the candidates for POTUS, but it is what it is.
