Donald Trump under fire for mocking disabled reporter

I sometimes think that he never expected this thing to catch on fire and go so far, to be taken seriously by so many, and that he’s starting to engage in self-sabotage to set the stage for such a downturn in his numbers that he can bow out. Certainly with his ego he could never walk away while he’s on top.

A lot of why Trump is resonating with his supporters is because they’re tired of feigned outrage and enforced sensitivity. People are tired of being labeled racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, climate change denier, etc., etc. and are attracted to Trump because he doesn’t buy into this nonsense or at least doesn’t appear to. He’s the only candidate out there that doesn’t act like he’s embarrassed to be pro-American.

I don’t expect sainthood or incorruptibility from politicians but common on, a bit of basic human decency and tact wouldn’t go amiss…

I agree, and I don’t know which is worse, him or the people in the audience who thought it was funny. Of the disabled children and adults I’ve known over the years, they have more heart, compassion, and kindness than he could ever hope to have or fathom. I pray for his conversion.
 
The GOP would be fools to nominate this guy. It would essentially hand the election to democrats.

If republicans cannot handle the media, then get out. Or like Justin timberlake song goes, cry me a river.

I never heard a republican nor Fox News come out trying to stop the whole Obama birth certificate. They had a feast. Obama didn’t cry foul. Now republicans get challenged and they cry. Go to Fox News get interviewed by fox news since they’ll only talk about stuff you agree on.

Having said that, so since this reporter has a lot of gotcha moments, trump can attack his disability? Very mature

I’m sure some people are really, really upset that Trump mocked someone’s disability, some people…but most of it just mock outrage directed at someone they’ve never liked and his supporters, who they’ve also never liked, and are, to a large degree, embarrassed to share the same country with them. If it wasn’t this, it would be something else that they’d have to feign outrage about.

I don’t think he knew the reporter was disabled and his foes jumped on it to attack him.

But in typical Trump fashion he hasn’t apologized or explained (yet.)
 
God help us all because the list of likely Republican nominees will only ensure the election of Hillary Clinton…it’s a done deal at the party has done it to themselves…again.

He has met the reporter numerous times and prefaced his little impersonation by saying “You should see this guy…” So, yes, he did know the reporter was disabled when he mocked and mimicked his disability. Disgusting.
 
No, he does know the reporter and did not know the reporter was handicapped. Here is a statement from Donald Trump: click to enlarge. I personally dislike Trump however I will take him at his word that he wasn’t mocking a handicap here.

No, he was not mocking a handicap…or even a disability…he was mocking a human being created by God who happens to appear physically different from others.
