I’m disgusted with Megyn. I’m not saying I’d vote for Trump, but her attacks were vicious. She’s Catholic and evidently left her faith at the door about the abortion issue. Very few women now are in danger giving birth. Rape victims who get pregnant always have been a small minority, and she should know this.

.
If her “attacks” ( actually questions) were vicious, it’s only because he gave them the ammo in the first place by his own actions. It’s a debate not a dinner party, the point of debates is not for candidates to have free air time to make stump speeches but to ask hard-hitting questions that voters have the right to know the answers to. Otherwise, you might as well just watch campaign commercials.

Trump’s comments were not “politically incorrect” they were outright rude, bordering on abusive. He has a history of making offensive comments about anyone who ticks him off and I think Ms Kelly’s question was legitimate. Do we want somebody in the White House who might call the French President a frog in a fit of pique? Donald’s just the one to do it.
Yes, he would be just the one to do it. And the thing is, the more he shows himself to be that kind of person, the more rank-and-file Americans seem to love him for it. Not sure what that says about us as a people.

It probably says the same thing that Obama getting elected 2x says. And it’s not encouraging.

I didn’t note that. They asked Kasik pointed question about gay marriage and his support of Medicaid expansion . They asked Rubio about his past support of abortion in cases of rape and incest . They asked perry if he really thought he was prepared to be president this time around . They ask Bush about his support of the core education program They pressed Carson about the many uninformed statements he is made about foreign-policy . In fact they had tough questions of everybody on the stage- yet only Trump came out the next day attacking moderators, calling Megyn Kelly a Bimbo and implying she must be having her period.

** Trump supporters remind me very much of Ron Paul supporters. Thin-skinned and always whining about how ill their candidate is treated .
**

Make No mistake . Donald Trump is in this race for two and only two reasons. Number one is to stroke his enormous ego and number two is to do everything possible to make Hillary Clinton the next president of United States
Boy is that the truth. I didn’t make the connection since Paul has been retired for a couple years and as such we haven’t heard from his group lately. Maybe many of them have switched to Trump?

Calling the Fench president a name is not that big a deal. The U.S.and its leaders are called Satan. It is true we threaten to bomb such countries but would France threaten the same to us? Also, listen to LBJ order a pair of pants. There have been much more crass presidents.

There is a similarity in that the establishment, both the GOP and its media lap dogs, try to marginalize them.

I think most men running for president want to stroke their egos. If Hillary wins it will be because people vote for her not because someone else is in the election.

There may be some Paul supporters who switched. If so the reason must be because they are tired of the same worthless establishment candidates who accomplish nothing. But Dr. Paul doesn’t believe the government is the solution to all life’s problems. Dr. Paul believes in very limited government. Trump does not.

Also on Saturday morning, Penny Young Nance, the CEO and president of the conservative group Concerned Women for America, told CNN that Trump’s "tantrum was even more enlightening than his original remarks she questioned."

“Does he have a problem with women?” Nance asked in a statement. "Three wives would suggest that yes, maybe there’s a problem. The good news is that Kelly is a mother of toddlers and knows how to deal with petulance and tantrums. Every presidential election since 1964 has been carried by women. Women don’t like mean and we certainly won’t vote for men or women we don’t trust. Trump’s biggest woman problem is how does he convince women to trust him to keep America safe?"

George Pataki, the former New York governor, called Trump’s latest controversy a "sad but predictable meltdown from Trump."

“With all due respect to @megynkelly** the outrage at Trump’s divisive language is long overdue,”** he added on Twitter.

And South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham said in a statement that **Trump’s statements “are not worthy of the office he is seeking.”
**
"As a party, we are better to risk losing without Donald Trump than trying to win with him," Graham said. "Enough already with Mr. Trump."

Apparently Red State has invited Megyn to speak in Trumps place.

Donald Trump is once again pushing the limit, bringing Megyn Kelly’s anatomy into a feud that had already opened him to charges of sexism — and the risk of losing support among the Fox News anchor’s rabid following.

After a day of escalating hostility, Trump took his attacks on Kelly to the next level on Friday night, apparently insinuating that the moderator had been menstruating when she questioned him during Thursday’s first Republican debate.

The crudeness of the comment sparked an immediate flurry of rebukes, including from RedState.com’s Erick Erickson who revoked an invitation for Trump to speak at his Saturday conference on the grounds that it showed he wasn’t a “legitimate” candidate.

On Saturday morning, Trump appeared to tweet a clarification of his previous remark: Re Megyn Kelly quote: “you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever” (NOSE). Just got on w/thought.

That’s hilarious! That’s why I like him. There’s nothing PC about Trump, and it is very refreshing! 🙂

This group is ridiculous and inconsistent. Its founder supported three times married Newt Gingrich. I’m sure they supported twice married John McCain. In both cases these men left seriously sick wives. They have no principles and are obvious political hacks. I hate to say it because divorce is so wrong, but Trump is actually probably better on this than those two on this issue. By the way Ron Paul is still married to his first wife.

trump’s comments are inexcusable, but his response was exactly what Fox and Kelly were going for…to either destroy the trump machine, or to set up trump to do it to himself, before Trump completely ruins any GOP chance of electing the next President…and it probably worked.

However, what is not being raised, is: if FOX wants to claim they are truly a journalistic endeavor, Kelly needs to be taken off the beat because she is now THE STORY and not merely an objective reporter.

A candidate who accuses a moderator of having her period because he doesn’t like the question she asked doesn’t need anybody’s help in marginalizing them

What questions did she ask that youb considered be inappropriate?

But he didn’t. You could interpret that he was alluding to that. But he clarified the statement. He said he didn’t mean that. I have no particular like of Trump but that seems very reasonable to me. It seems uncharitable to interpret his words as folks are.

Practically speaking if people press the issue I think this won’t marginalize Trump but raise his standing. Folks who like the establishment keep thinking using establishment tactics will marginalize Trump. But they won’t. That doesn’t mean Trump will win. Most people like the establishment.

Donald Trump might be the most thin skinned person I’ve ever seen. And I’m sorry there is no substance to anything he says. Being loud and hateful doesn’t mean someone knows what they’re talking about.

Normal Person: “Hey Donald I think that’s a bad idea.”

Donald: “Well you’re a fat loser.”

Does anyone want a president who can’t be civil with his own prospective constituents? His cabinet should be interesting - a laptop and his own face on the big screen, that’s it. He is just a bully and, hopefully, a footnote to the 2016 campaign.

He did call her a bimbo on twitter before the “blood” comment. There is no misinterpreting that.

This may well be the beginning of the end for the Trump blip.
Democrats may well be willing to abide by politicians slurring young women, but this goes against the core of what Republicans can abide by.

I don’t think any questions were inappropriate, but I think they were calculated…and now Kelly has become as much a part of the story Trump has, which is unseemly for a journalist, if she continues to report on this story, or Trump at all during the rest of the campaign.

And, because Trump is a loose canon, if they alienate this man of immense ego and he makes a third party bid, it could result in yet another horrific example of Republicans beating themselves,

I turned the debate on late. I missed this exchange - tasteless…and stupid. I am not surprised Trump hit this minefield. Speaking your mind is not of necessity always the same thing as being an offensive jerk. It was only a matter of time before the GOP had to react to Trump’s offensiveness. I hope the blowback doesn’t take immigration off the table. I also hope he works his way back into civilized discourse rather than heading out further on his politically incorrect limb. I think he sees apologizing as only something losers do. Ditto respect.
