If her “attacks” ( actually questions) were vicious, it’s only because he gave them the ammo in the first place by his own actions. It’s a debate not a dinner party, the point of debates is not for candidates to have free air time to make stump speeches but to ask hard-hitting questions that voters have the right to know the answers to. Otherwise, you might as well just watch campaign commercials.
Yes, he would be just the one to do it. And the thing is, the more he shows himself to be that kind of person, the more rank-and-file Americans seem to love him for it. Not sure what that says about us as a people.
It probably says the same thing that Obama getting elected 2x says. And it’s not encouraging.
Boy is that the truth. I didn’t make the connection since Paul has been retired for a couple years and as such we haven’t heard from his group lately. Maybe many of them have switched to Trump?
Calling the Fench president a name is not that big a deal. The U.S.and its leaders are called Satan. It is true we threaten to bomb such countries but would France threaten the same to us? Also, listen to LBJ order a pair of pants. There have been much more crass presidents.
There is a similarity in that the establishment, both the GOP and its media lap dogs, try to marginalize them.
There may be some Paul supporters who switched. If so the reason must be because they are tired of the same worthless establishment candidates who accomplish nothing. But Dr. Paul doesn’t believe the government is the solution to all life’s problems. Dr. Paul believes in very limited government. Trump does not.

This group is ridiculous and inconsistent. Its founder supported three times married Newt Gingrich. I’m sure they supported twice married John McCain. In both cases these men left seriously sick wives. They have no principles and are obvious political hacks. I hate to say it because divorce is so wrong, but Trump is actually probably better on this than those two on this issue. By the way Ron Paul is still married to his first wife.

But he didn’t. You could interpret that he was alluding to that. But he clarified the statement. He said he didn’t mean that. I have no particular like of Trump but that seems very reasonable to me. It seems uncharitable to interpret his words as folks are.
He did call her a bimbo on twitter before the “blood” comment. There is no misinterpreting that.
I don’t think any questions were inappropriate, but I think they were calculated…and now Kelly has become as much a part of the story Trump has, which is unseemly for a journalist, if she continues to report on this story, or Trump at all during the rest of the campaign.
And, because Trump is a loose canon, if they alienate this man of immense ego and he makes a third party bid, it could result in yet another horrific example of Republicans beating themselves,
I turned the debate on late. I missed this exchange - tasteless…and stupid. I am not surprised Trump hit this minefield. Speaking your mind is not of necessity always the same thing as being an offensive jerk. It was only a matter of time before the GOP had to react to Trump’s offensiveness. I hope the blowback doesn’t take immigration off the table. I also hope he works his way back into civilized discourse rather than heading out further on his politically incorrect limb. I think he sees apologizing as only something losers do. Ditto respect.
