Donald Trump's war on Megyn Kelly

When I talked to the Trump campaign on Friday night, the campaign manager only wanted to focus on the “blood in her eyes” part. When I brought up the “wherever” bit, he kept going back to the “blood in her eyes” part.

So I asked for a clarification or apology and he said I needed to do it in writing.

I put it in writing with the full quote.

The campaign manager called back and said Mr. Trump meant “whatever,” not “wherever” because he was trying to get Don Lemon to move on in the CNN interview.

Today, on the Sunday show circuit, Donald Trump is denying he meant anything other than bleeding from Megyn Kelly’s nose or some such and that only a deviant would think otherwise.

I think it is unfortunate that Donald Trump’s campaign could not offer that clarification until eight hours after their initial attempt was that Trump had meant “whatever.”

Whatever.

At this point there is not a lot of difference between Planned Parenthood supporters who think the tapes were edited and Donald Trump supporters who think he did not say what he said on live television.

Eric Erickson
Again, this has turned a bit into a mudslinging contest, unfortunate for everyone and yes, Trump seems prone to do such.

Eric Erickson seemed to have written this about retired Supreme Court Judge Souter:

It makes one wonder a bit.

It is so strange to see conservatives all up in arms with FOX news.

I feel like I have fallen into the twilight zone.

I didn’t note that. They asked Kasik pointed question about gay marriage and his support of Medicaid expansion . They asked Rubio about his past support of abortion in cases of rape and incest . They asked perry if he really thought he was prepared to be president this time around . They ask Bush about his support of the core education program They pressed Carson about the many uninformed statements he is made about foreign-policy . In fact they had tough questions of everybody on the stage- yet only Trump came out the next day attacking moderators, calling Megyn Kelly a Bimbo and implying she must be having her period.

Trump supporters remind me very much of Ron Paul supporters. Thin-skinned and always whining about how ill their candidate is treated .

Make No mistake . Donald Trump is in this race for two and only two reasons. Number one is to stroke his enormous ego and number two is to do everything possible to make Hillary Clinton the next president of United States
Well said. I think Fox did a great job with this debate. Will be interesting to see what the other TV stations do, and what it will look like in Oct. when the Dems finally show up.

I’m not sure how many are conservative or just independents but it is amusing because it’s clearly Trump supporters up in arms and their main complaint is that his true self came out when he was asked to explain his past behavior.

We saw the same thing last time with Gingrich, his supporters cried not fair to the hard hitting questions he was asked about his past. And we know what happened to him. He dropped out. But then Gingrich at least did care about the Republicans winning and wasn’t just running for vanity nor did he ever attempt to blackmail Republican voters as Trump is.

Gingrich 2012 and Trump supporters have a lot in common, they like the guys who are complaining about the “establishment” judging from the posts here.

Although I have to wonder how much Trump or his supporters have paid attention to politics in the last 8 years because Trump claims we wouldn’t be talking about immigration if it wasn’t for him. Yet it’s been a very hot topic of Republicans in the last two election cycles. Where has Trump been the last 8 years? What news was he watching? Or does he have selective memory?

People are so upset with Fox News that 24 million of themwatched the debate Friday night, the biggest nonsports cable event in the history of cable TV. The funny part is people are mad at them for asking questions that were too tough . We never hear that complaint when Democrats are questioned by the mainstream media, especially Hillary .

Again,I am not a Trump supporter. If anyone of the candidates had been singled out in the way Trumpwas,I would have been irritated. My only issue in all of this is the blatant bias Fox News,MK et al have against Trump. This has since been confirmed that the mods got their marching orders from the execs@ Fox to go after Trump. That’s what I don’t like.

Actually, no it hasn’t been confirmed by anyone credible that they got their marching orders from execs at Fox. The three moderators plus other reporters that were in the rooms confirmed that the three moderators had been working on the questions for months. Chris Wallace as a matter of fact stated on air that he was working on them back in June when on vacation.

I just find it surrealistic and disturbing that anyone considers such a boorish egomaniac as Trump to be a legitimate, desirable option as President.

Regardless of who determined the line of questions,it was a blatant attempt to go after Trump.

Me too. What exactly is presidential about calling people who ask you to clarify past statements losers and bimbos?

This has already been addressed countless times on this forum, so I’m not going to bother repeating the many many posts that have discussed why the questions asked him were legitimate considering he wants to be POTUS.

No,Trump isn’t presidential but then neither is the current occupier of the W H;)
If nothing else,as Trump mentioned he has brought to the fore certain issues most of those on the stage with him were avoiding like the plague. So it is all good in that regard.

Well I’m with you there in fact I just posted something along those lines in the other thread on this subject. I’m not a Democrat and I didn’t vote for Obama nor would I ever vote for Hilary Clinton.

He also helped bring about an audience of 24 million people which is got to be good for the other candidates on the stage

He is nothing if not a (pompous, bombastic) showman.
4 years ago when Trump was thinking of running, I saw John Oliver at a comedy club. During his routine he asked the audience if any of them would vote for Trump if he ran for President. Not a peep from the crowd. Then he asked the audience if they wanted Trump to run for President. The room went nuts.

There’s certainly an entertainment value to him, but he’s unelectable. He won’t win the nomination. And I would be surprised if he’s even invited to speak at the GOP convention next year.
