You have to find where files bibles, commentaries dictionaries and topical files are read from by the esword program…the ones you downloaded from esword. The files you are downloading from esnips must go to the same location that esword is reading from…
So again go to the top left hand cornor select file, a drop down menu occurs here select open, this gives you where the folder which esword reads all topical files from. This is the folder that all topical files files “*.top” must be placed there and can be opened right here by double clicking on any topical file here will cause it to open in esword.
Next go to the options on the very top,of the page of esword and open to bring down drop down menue which includes resourses, here you will see a list of bibles, commentarys, and dictionaries and what folder esword is looking for these files from. any dictionaries, commentaries bibles must be put in this folder or esword will not read them. commentary files on hard drive are ".cmt " dictionaries are ".dct " bibles are “*.bbl”.
if you go to the folder where the topical file early church fathers is located when you click on this it will not open because windows does not recognize the file, it is meant to be opened within esword. I do not recommend this until you have done the above and it hasn’t helped you, —you can force the issue here when windows tells you it does not recognize the file, it will allow you a check to browse the hard drive to find the program which opens that given file and I think esword will open and crab hold of the file you just click, but it might change where esword now looks for files, bad news then.
