Yeah…and every word of it is true, and every soul here has seen it. At least we stick to the facts unlike you. If you have answers and substance by all means let’s rock! But so far I have refuted your every post and aside from pointing out the facts that you are unfailingly rude and nasty to Catholics in your posts here and elsewhere…even to go so far as to allege that we here at CAF have something to hide, which is certainly not at all evident from this exchange.

The fact is that you have offered nothing that hasn’t been refuted. Is this all ya got? I expected more from someone who badmouths my faith the way you do.

I may have to love you…but I don’t LIKE you. Bring dialog, substance, and charity and not rhetoric and propaganda when ya come here. Maybe then we might learn to even like you.

You could really learn a great deal from the author of this thread, BibleApologist, who, though we disagree on many things, (not the least of which his ill-chosen thread title here!) has never failed in his charity towards us and the lucid rationality of his posted dialog. Maybe you shoud take notes…

You’ve already gone beyond Christ’s teaching in insisting that Christ’s teaching is only available in Scripture. Scripture clearly denies that claim.

In addition to what others have said about the term “woman” in that era, there is the obvious point that Mary was not in heaven at the time Jesus addressed her in this manner.

God also commanded us in the 4th to honor our father and mother.

Jesus commanded us to love our neighbor.

How is it that God (Jesus) has asked us to do these other things that would, in your thinking, take away from Him? I posit that you have missed HIs point. We love the Lord our God with our whole heart by in fact, obeying His commandements.

So, can we indeed love and honor others AND God? YES!

It is not either-or, my friend. It is both. And in honoring Jesus’ mother, we glorify God.

Mary is NOT dead, she was assumed body and soul into heaven.
she is the Queen of angels and of men.

The Saints are not dead, they are in heaven with Christ the King.
Yes, Mary cares for us.

Christ died on the cross and ascended into heaven, and He cares
for us as well.

Or do you think that since Christ just died and is not in heaven
therefore He cannot care for us? The bible states that Christ died,
was resurrected and ascended into heaven. Or do you just think
He died and that was it?

Do you think that Mary just died and is not in heaven? What about the woman described in Revelation?

Do you think all the apostles are just dead and not in heaven?

Not possible! the bible talks about the Saints, and it also talks
about the Most Blessed Virgin, not just in the NT either.

The bible talks about Christ being resurrected and ascending into heaven, so friend, He is not dead. Neither is Mary. If you really want to know what Catholics believe, see this link:

Also note that even protestants do not believe Jesus is dead.
Neither do SDA’s as far as i know, and not even mormons or
jw’s believe He is dead either as far as i know.

Do you think all the prophets are just dead? No they are not.
Where do you think Elijah and Elisha and Moses and Abraham
are, and David? dead? No they are not.

You need to do some research and find out what Christians believe.

Do some research and see what we Catholics believe.

Do you believe all the angels are fallen? That would be a dangerous claim. Do you believe the spirits of the just are devils? That is a denial of the efficacy of salvation through Christ. Do you believe the 24 elders in heaven and the heavenly host are all devils? That contravenes the Bible, the nature of heaven and of God. In heaven will you tell all these that they are devils? I do not think so. Sometimes angels at least come to earth. The saints are united with Christ, which is a profound doctrine with vast ramifications I am unable to expound properly, but they know what is happening here, and in some ways interact with us here.

God is not God of the dead but of the living.

Know what? You have the guts to insult Catholics in and out of this forum but when people start talking about your attitude in negative yet truthful words, you act as if you’re the victim. I said it once and I’ll repeat it again. It’s true so I don’t have something to regret. You’re a self-righteous arrogant person. May God bless you.

I think he’s got a great forum name. I don’t get bent out of shape by it at all–and I’m the kind of guy who can’t stop looking for a good Catholic/Protestant tussle.

Yeah, he seems like your typical anti-Catholic wise"guy," but I don’t see what the sudden vehemence is all about. So, he doesn’t understand Marian doctrines, big deal. That’s typically the last thing anti-Catholics understand, and until they understand that Christianity isn’t based on an “Everything Manual,” (i.e. the Bible), they never will.

Actually, maybe. God says he’ll put enmity between the snake and the “woman” in Genesis. Jesus calls his mother “woman.” You see “the woman” in Revelation. If I was a hard-boiled detective, that would be a little too much coincidence to dismiss–especially if one starts from the belief that scripture is just the way it is because that’s just the way God wanted it.

Don’t play the martyr card just yet StHilarious. You are the one that with your opening post started this discussion off rude and offensive. Any and all signs of “affection” towards you by Catholic members are responses that were elicited by yourself.

By the way if this StHilarious is the same StHilarious from the CARM boards, we are going to be very busy around here if he chooses to stick around. I can see, different board, same old misconceptions right StHilarious?

I guess you see a contradiction in scripture then 'cuz the decalogue says that we are to “honor” our mother and father.

I guess you see this is a contradiction because by your twisted logic if you were honoring God with all your heart you wouldn’t have the strength left to honor your mother or father.
