That isn’t very nice. I did not vote to kill children. I have not insulted you. I clearly stated why I voted the way I did and abortion did not factor into it. Lets face it the president can be pro-life it does not mean roe v wade will be overturned. Wasn’t bush pro-life?

Please do not accuse me of wanting to go out and kill children. That is not charitable or kind… I would not say nasty things about you, please respect me the same way.
Don’t let anyone make you feel guilty for how you voted.

Voting is a Constitutional right.

It’s your right.

God Bless
Jim

Cardinal Ratzinger once said that it is permissible to vote for pro-choice candidates so long as you don’t vote for them in support of that pro-choice position. Don’t let people try to make you feel guilty or in the wrong for your informed choice. 49% of Catholics voted the same way. 🙂

The thing that bothers me most is that, with an Obama win, he will likely get to nominate a couple of Supreme Court justices. 😦
And they will be young & find mystery things in the Constitution aren’t really there like gay marriage.

You voted your conscience and it’s grand to vote for some person who voted for Infanticide like Obama, be proud of yourself.
This post is very uncharitable.

Not everybody is a one-issue voter. Some also consider treatment of the less fortunate, the death penalty, public programs, etc…

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Let’s just toss what the Church has said on the matter in the last month or so, while we’re at it. That Obama? Nice feller. Bit of a problem with babies, but hey.

And those Catholics are wrong… life trumps all period.

It will be fine. Neither side received a mandate. Life will go on, no huge legislative moves like Obamacare will be coming. Obamacare will probably even be adjusted a bit either now or in 4 years.
I agree. I haven’t given up on a Romney victory yet but if he loses its not due to a media conspiracy or a poor Romney campaign or a random storm hitting the Atlantic coast. Its because the majority of people in this country thinks Obama would be a better President.

Say waaaaaat?

Umemployment will be worse… and insurance costs will go up.
And he might have the chance to appoint two very liberal Supreme Court Justices. 😦

So not only will killing children in the womb be okie dokey in the Constitution, so will homosexual marriage and only Lord knows what else.

Which makes me fear for the future of this country.

Can we just stick to results, please? Let’s not argue Cardinal Ratzinger’s writings in this thread…

He doesn’t have a problem with babies. He does not actively want abortions to take place. Don’t forget that he has two children, who he quite obviously loves very much.

my question you responded to

Just a “no” or “I don’t know” would have sufficed.

Sorry, I didn’t get how to answer no or I don’t know to your question.

A grab bag of clergy isn’t “the Church” and, frankly, I think the stated position of the head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of The Faith and now Pope has more weight.

Insurance costs have already gone up. But people will pressure congress to make fixes, and congress if they get nervous will make those fixes.

Employment will adjust. There is not that much a president can do to effect employment one way or another, IMHO.

I’ll pass on the Kool-aid, thanks.
