This is what I don’t understand. Why do people always just assume minorities have some kind of imaginary motivation to vote for Democrats when their terrible policies hurt minorities just as much as everyone else?
Like the Dream Act?

Well, Lochias, apparently your ignore list will be getting quite a workout tonight… 😛
Not sure about the Lochias thing, but I do know people have a hard time admitting their own political views are indeed sins that are blatantly condemned in the Bible.

A woman chooses to have an abortion. A child does not get to choose if they have medicaid, food stamps, housing, etc. We have to care for the least among us and right now no charity the Church included has the infrastructure to step in and pick up the slack if these things are taken away.

And by caring for the least among us we can end abortion whether it is legal or not. Strong families, education, communities and faith can do it.

Why not emphasize social issues to these communities. Blacks are for traditional marriage. I assume most Hispanics are as well. I think thats the strategy the GOP needs to take. Encourage minorities on these issues rather than telling them to screw off and let the dems take them. I too think its too bad the GOP doesn’t care about minorities
👍

Whether anyone likes it or not, that is the overall impression among a lot of black people - that the Republicans don’t care about us.

Black people in general are very religious, so you would think we’d be overwhelmingly Republican. Same goes for hispanics.

Assuming Republicans do care, which I’m not so sure, it is incumbent upon them to show it; otherwise they will continue to lose the black vote.

Exactly, more women might choose to go through with the birth if they feel that they have more resources available to them. Banning abortion won’t get to the causes.

It was pretty obvious Obama was going to win this election. Romney was a pretty awful choice for a candidate.
I almost think it didn’t matter who the GOP nominated. The majority of Americans obviously like the path Obama’s chosen for the United States.

Obama’s expected victory seals America’s secular socialist future. I will never vote in an American election again. My apathy is complete. In the spirit of true sportsmanship, however, I sincerely congratulate Obama supporters for their hard fought victory. Enjoy the next four years under your President.
Hang in there Tampa Dave. The Work will go on.

To add to my disappointment I just found out my beloved monthly EOR was changed to a week earlier this month. Well fortunately there is another one I can go to next week, though its farther. Along with the EF Mass, which is the highlight of my week, the EOR is the highlight of my month.

Too early for that yet Dave.

In what sense? That they haven’t called the election yet? Or that it’s too early to say America has chosen a secular socialist path under Obama (assuming an Obama victory tonight)?

RIght, a path littered with fetal corpses and the shreds of holy matrimony.

Yes, Romney was a poor candidate, but I think it was ultimately a question of “takers” outnumbering “makers”. We’ve changed as a nation. I don’t think even Ronald Reagan could have won this time around.

Yeah, Rev. Childress says a black child is 5 times more likely than a white baby to be aborted and Planned Parenthood is the sacred cow of the Democrats, Hispanics have passed African Americans as the largest minority. Democrats really show a lot of love for the minorities.

I agree. If women have have a few alternative choices, they may not feel that abortion is their only choice. Why don’t we work on giving women more choices?

Has anyone else heard that Obama is up in OH and FL but much of the vote left to come in is from Democratic areas such as around Toledo and Cleveland and in FL from Democratic areas Broward County and Miami? I confess I’m watching CNN and MSNBC.

Its Democrats that always are trying to shut down pregnancy centers, which help provide alternatives!!!
