It is never good politics for the two on the ticket to appear divided - “divided we conquer” - the MSM and Obama camp would have had a field day with that.I wish he would have at least said he respectfully disagrees with the president but will work with him to limit abortions or something like that. You are assuming all those bills are good. Just because the word JOB appears in the title doesn’t mean they are good.The United States Constitution is for all people regardless of race or creed. It was not meant to establish a theocracy. With that being said, you cannot legislate morality on an immoral segment of the population who do not happen to believe in God or Catholicism. The only way to change society is through evangelizing not legislation. It didn’t work during the prohibition era either.

With a record 500+ filibusters, PLEDGES to NEVER generate more cash for the government, ZERO compromises, voter suppression and intimidation.
The voters keep ignoring or are not aware that the REAL culprits behind the slow recovery on the economy and jobs are the “obstructionist” Republicans controlling congress with cloture and filibusters to stop job legislation and halt Obama’s agenda to fix the economy.
Only a “super majority” can stop the Republican obstruction of the past 3 years.
Obama doesn’t have a supermajority, Obama only has the senate by ONE and the GOP owns the house and CONTROLS all legislation.
We have a communication problem if these undecided voters are not aware that the GOP has done NOTHING but get in the way of passing bills to promote job and economy growth.
Remember that the President doesn’t pass the bills, he just signs them.
Obama has a 51% approval and has been waiting for job bills on his desktop sign but the GOP just won’t pass any.

Amen and ditto with same sex “marriage” which is not as urgent an issue as abortion is by any means but is still antithetical to Catholic teachings. Those who are lukewarm on these issues, much less support abortion or SSM in any way, are not fulfilling their moral obligation as Catholics, imo.Most liberal Catholics don’t recognize abortion as a major issue and basically ignore it to their own demise. They do need our prayers.

What’s funny to me is that no one “really” liked Romney. He was just the ABO choice. In the end, the party tried to get behind him, but they couldn’t with all the etch a sketching going on.Look at it this way, few of those institutions were Catholic anyways. Maybe this will help purify the church and bring it back to its mission–salvation of souls and not being popular or cool with the political elites. The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church.
