Martin it is no personal, so much to talk about and I not going back to the old worn out subjects.
Whenever the Bible is used to make a point either NT or the OT, proves that in actuality the Word of God is alive and active. Thus if one uses the NT/OT especially the NT in the case of this thread, one must listen to the Spirit that lead infallible men to put it to writing.
So, it is evident if one wants to use the Bible then follow the Church which put it together (and old subject I know that has be repeated, by yours truly among others), remains part of the daily Liturgy for the Church, so that we don’t forget what Jesus did for Mankind. And we receive him in the Eucharist. As it as been stated, He died for ALL, even if people say “May his blood be upon us and upon our children” Jesus continues to Love them and intercedes to the Father to forgive, even this day and age.
In the year 1869 Bahá’u’lláh wrote to Napoleon III, rebuking him for his lust of war and for the contempt with which he had treated a former letter from Bahá’u’lláh. The Epistle contains the following stern warning:—
reference.bahai.org/en/t/o/BNE/bne-182.html
For what thou has done, thy kingdom shall be thrown into confusion, and thine empire shall pass from thine hands, as a punishment for that which thou has wrought. Then wilt thou know how thou has plainly erred. Commotions shall seize all the people in that land, unless thou arisest to held this Cause, and followest Him Who is the Spirit of God (Jesus Christ) in this, the Straight Path. Hath thy pomp made thee proud? By My Life! It shall not endure; nay, it shall soon pass away, unless thou holdest fast by this firm Cord. We see abasement hastening after thee, whilst thou art of the heedless…O banks of the Rhine! We have seen you covered with gore, inasmuch as the swords of retribution were drawn against you; and you shall have another turn. And We hear the lamentations of Berlin, though she be today in conspicuous glory".—Kitáb-i-Aqdas.
These letters to the Kings and Rulers of the world changed the direction of the world, caused every limb of mankind to quake!
It will be good to remember:
Phlippians 2: 1Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 **Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests **but each of you to the interests of the others.
5 In your relationships with one another, h
ave the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
6
Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7
rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
9
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11
and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Thus, this enlightening aspect already proclaimed,a long time ago before the 1800’s.
