There are a number of new age religions. Scientology certainly seems to fit in.
China’s Three-Self Church is among the largest Protestant religions in the world.
The Three-Self Church is more a patriotic pro communist movement that loosely basis itself on Christianity.
This is the sort of deception that Ven. Sheen speaks about.
China is a member of the United Nations. The U.N. potential to deceive eclipses China.

Hierarchy of the Catholic Church is often very willing to cooperate and agree with the U.N. That works with what Ven. Sheen warned about.

I really needed to watch those videos. Thank you (name removed by moderator). My head has been spinning and reeling and my faith all over the place with speculation, the horrific abominations of this world, and the agenda of the evil elites. I needed to be grounded with the reminder that all is only permissive because of God, that he is still in control, and that fear is not of Him. And that living in and not of this world is not for the feint of heart; we need to learn to love our sufferings, embrace our cross instead of ignore and shun it, and be the saints we’re called to be in this time. We were all born in this period for a reason, and we need to remember to raise each other up, even if only virtually. But I’ve been denying my children of a proper Catchetiasis because of grief, fear, and ignorance. If I want to see my little girl one day again, I have to put on my big girl panties and embrace the sorrow surrounding her death to transform myself for a fit and proper instrument of Christ. I’ve always struggled with talking to her in Heaven because, as much as she’s my little girl, up there, she’s not. She’s a saint and I don’t know if she can see the things about me God can, if permitted, but I always imagine she sees how dark my heart is, how lost I am in the Faith, and how badly I’m failing her siblings. Just like I failed her…to protect her. I know that is the enemy at work too, but these videos helped check some of my despair that the last leg of 2017 is bringing out of me. I’m not saying I’m ready for 2018, but time doesn’t stop, ready or not, so I guess it’s time to focus more on having my family ready instead of despairing on the past and even the present. Thank you again for these videos.

Interesting video on the current status of Ezekiel’s prophecy of Gog and Magog.

Scientology will probably disappear once it loses Tom Cruise.
I doubt that very much. Scientology has moved from being a cult (where it would have died out when L Ron kicked the bucket) to being a business. It has a set of sacred scriptures but no theology (else we’d see Reformed Scientology by now). Right now it promises its members power and wealth and it will continue its downward spiral towards hell, never really leaving this culture.

Once again Venerable Bishop Fulton Sheen reflects upon the times we are living in this video titled:

The Prophecy of the Popes could be very important if it is true since it predicts just one more pope after Francis, and under this last pope judgment day will occur. Here is how we can know for sure if this controversial prophecy is valid:

The visions of Pope St. Pius X predict some kind of terrible disaster at Vatican City that will involve a “successor of the same name.” According to the Prophecy of the Popes there are only three possibilities for this “successor,” and these are:

Gorge Bergoglio (Pope Francis)
Joseph Ratzinger (Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI)
Simon bar Jonah (St. Peter)

Of these three only Joseph Ratzinger bears a “same name” as Giuseppe Sarto. Therfore, for the Prophecy of the Popes to be valid, the terrible vision of Pius X must occur while Benedict XVI is still alive. If it does not happen during his lifetime, then the Prophecy of the Popes is not true.

To be honest I think the so-called prophecy of the popes is a piece of superstitious hogwash. It really makes no sense. Yet so many people seem to cling to it.

The reason that this prophecy “makes no sense” is that everyone is using the edited version of it. This invalid version was created by Thomas Messinghan in 1624 in his FLORILEGIUM INSULAE SANCTORUM in which Fr. Wion’s list of 113 papal mottoes was shorted to just 112. Under Messingham’s version Pope Francis would have to be the “Petrus Romanus” of the last motto. This obviously is not the case. Pope Francis can be in no way associated with the title of “Peter of Rome.”

Under Fr. Wion’s original list of 1595 the motto for Francis reads:

“He will reign in the final persecution. of the Holy Roman Church.”

If the terrible vision of Pope St. Pius X comes to pass while Francis is Pope, then this motto will be fulfilled. Notice the spurious period following the word “persection.” This marks the advent of the disaster at Vatican City which will cause the premature end of Francis’ papacy.

Sir, before you characterize this prophecy as “superstitious hogwash,” I kindly ask you to remember that Pope Pius XII selected his Prophecy of the Popes motto, “Pastor angelicus,” as the title for his autobiographical film in 1942. In my opinion this constitutes a tacit endorsment of the prophecy by a Pope.

Thanks, Muzhik. At least this person gets the numbering of the mottoes right. But his opinion that number 112 implies that Francis is not a “true” pope is unsupported. In this context “sedebit” is more properly rendered as “He will reign.” So for Francis we have:

He will reign in the final persecution. of the Holy Roman Church.

I really don’t see here any inference here that would imply that our blessed Francis is not a true pope.

As for LittleVoice’s analysis of motto number 113, he makes the fatal error of believing that St. Malachy was the author of the prophecy. But Fr. M. J. O’Brien proved otherwise in his well researched analysis of 1880.* In addition he alters Fr. Wion’s punctuation and writes the word “Judex” with a small “j” thus altering the meaning of that word. And finally, how can he assume that “civitas septicollis” refers to the Catholic Church when just a few lines prior the Catholic Church was rendered: “S.R.E.” ?

*AN HISTORICAL AND CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE SO-CALLED PROPHECY OF ST. MALACHY, O’Brien, 1880

Sorry, not buying it. It is superstitious hogwash indeed. People have to do all sorts of hand stands and massaging to get the pope’s to “fit” into the phrases, and some nonsense about editing from 113 to 112? Why in the world would this have occurred? Very convenient, I must say. I’m sure #114 will come to light when Peter the Roman fails to appear next.
But to each his own. Time will tell.

So you are suggesting that Pope Pius XII was guilty of believing in “superstitious hogwash” when he used his Prophecy of the Popes motto as the title of his biographical film in 1942? Is this how you show respect for a Bishop of Rome?

It is not “nonsense about editing” at all. If you had bothered to do a little research before accusing the rest of us of “nonsense” you would know that the original list that was published by Fr. Wion in 1595 had 113 paragraphs. And you would know that the first analysis of the Prophecy, published by Fr. Messingham in 1624, used an edited version of Wion’s mottoes that had only 112 paragraphs. This is not “nonsense,” it is a matter of record that anyone may look up. And since you seem to want to know why Messingham did this, please read his work, FLORILEGIUM INSULAE SANCTORUM, and report back to us. I’d very much like to know why he did that myself.

Furthermore, this prophecy has been validated by some very dramatic hits. A primary case being the unlikely motto “Religio depopulata.” The depopulation and destruction of religion is not what Popes do. Yet that is exactly what happened to the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox religions during the time that this motto was in effect. During the years 1914 to 1921 both of these organizations lost many members due to the ravages of WWI and the rise of communism.

It is true that many of the mottoes appear to be simply “fillers” that could apply to any pope. But many, such as the mentioned Religio depopulata, cannot be applied to just anyone. The motto for Francis is particularly foreboding, and, together with the terrible vision of Pope St. Pius X, predicts an ISIS assault and takeover of Vatican City during the lifetime of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. If this does not happen (and we should all pray that it does not) then you will be proven right and you won’t have to hear about a “#114,” not from me or anyone else.

You build an interesting case undead_rat. It sure is interesting that we are on the cusp of whether this materializes or fades away into unfulfilled prophecy history. This reminds me a bit of the Joey Lomangino story which seems to pretty much mute any believers of that prophecy. In a similar way that time has come and gone.

If ISIS is decimated (as the Trump administration suggests) I doubt they are powerful enough to overtake the Vatican. And, as you say, let’s hope not. Hopefully Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI final days are peaceful and perhaps we still have more to learn and words of wisdom to read from him.
