My end times speculation would be that in the year 2028 the end times may all begin šŸ˜‰ I arrived at this figure from some details I read a few years ago relating to Fr Gobbi’s interior locutions and the date 1998 seems to have some significance.

I’m speculating that 1998 is the year of the birth of the Antichrist.

I recall reading some details by St Hildegard that the Antichrist would be attempting to copy Christ so I’m speculating that when he hits the age of 30 he’ll begin.

I’m further speculating that the ā€˜time, two times and half a time’ refers to 3 and a half years… thereby making this Antichrist 33 years old, the same as Christ, when his end comes.

Everyone can view the destruction through the lens of the Church scandal. Yet the population refuses to acknowledge and use the H word.
Mind blowing unbelievable but it is really happening. So many are deceived. All this seems to fit into end times.

Look beyond all that and see that the earth population has full view of the destructive force of the H through the lens of the Church scandal and we barely hear a ā€œbooā€. This tiny ā€œbooā€ speaks volumes if you discern correctly.

The headline is bogus. You might even call it hyperbole and a half. The meteor landed in the region of the Tunguska event. It was the Tunguska event that hit ā€œwith the force of 185 Hiroshima bombsā€. The generally-accepted theory is that it was either a meteor or a small comet that entered the atmosphere at a high rate of speed and detonated due to thermal stress (hot outside vs. cold inside). The explosion was 3 to 7 miles above the earth, which destroyed a large swath of forest but didn’t leave an impact crater.

This meteor apparently crashed into a snow-and-ice-covered river. Authorities have good reason to believe they can recover the meteor.

FWIW, in Ukrainian, the name of that failed reactor (Chernobyl) means ā€œWormwoodā€.

BOOK ALERT!

There is a new book out that everyone on this thread REALLY needs to read. I’ve only finished the first 20 pages, but already it is truly blowing my mind. It’s called
Empty Planet: The Shock of Global Population Decline by Darrell Bricker and John Ibbitson.

In short, all the statistics from the UN that tell you we’ll have 11 billion people by the year 2050 are wrong. In fact, populations have been declining globally for the past few years, and there are a few countries where the birth rates have fallen below replacement levels.

What’s more , once a society reaches that level (of having only 2 kids) it’s very very hard to reverse that trend, meaning populations will continue to go down.

Scary.

This isn’t new. The population decline has been known for quite awhile.

I have a question though… why would it be very, very hard to reverse? Does the book answer that?

Thanks!

Ask yourself this: how many newlywed couples tell people they want 4 kids?

I know people who have had snide comments directed at them because they planned on having more than 2. There’s enormous pressure out there to ā€œlimit family size.ā€ And as the book points out, now that we don’t need kids to help with chores around the farm, people have kids for ā€œfulfillmentā€, and that fulfillment maxes out for most people at 2.

Thing is, you need more than 2 kids to reach replacement levels, i.e., to just replace mom and dad when they die, because kids get sick, they get in car crashes, etc. So replacement average is supposed to be at 2.1 kids. In practical terms, 3 kids. And believe it or not, most strangers will consider that 3rd kid an ā€œoopsā€ with the birth control, and will not hesitate to let the parents know this. Like I said, enormous pressure to limit families to 2 kids.

Yes, that’s the attitude now but if population decline starts to create serious problems in general society, less tax revenue, worker desperation, etc. don’t you think society will also start to value more children? When there is a need, families will respond because the value of children will increase and be more desirable. It won’t happen in a ten year span but it will happen over a longer span of time and gradually more children will be born.

I always think it is short sited to project today’s norms into the future. Our small family size is a recent phenomenon and I don’t think it would hold long term. Maybe I’m just an optimist?

NYS Governor said today that he would vote to support euthanasia.
Polls already show strong support for this measure and eight states already have legalized assisted suicide.

People will die of fright in anticipation of what is coming upon the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Luke 21:26

During that time these people will seek death but will not find it, and they will long to die but death will escape them. Rev: 9:6

Unless, of course, you believe in a post-Tribulation rapture, or a mid-tribulation rapture. (FWIW, Catholics tend to be pan-Tribulationists, i.e., it will all pan out in the end.)

Catholics also believe that Jesus is the 3rd Temple, as he declared to the priests before his execution. Personally, I believe that there will be a 3rd Temple built on Temple Mount, for a very simple reason. In both previous diasporas, upon returning to Jerusalem building the Temple was a unifying force, a declaration to the nations around them that Israel Has Returned. This Return, however, has been piecemeal, starting with the early settlements back in the late 1800s. There has not been an opportunity to build a 3rd Temple, which would require control of ALL of Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount.

(This is my own personal belief, not Catholic doctrine.) I believe that the War of Psalm 83 will occur in the next 3 years. It will start after there is a unilateral declaration of an independent State of Palestine made of the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) as well as the Gaza Strip. Hostilities will begin in the first 3 months of the year, probably within 24 hours of the new State being declared, and will involve Israel being attacked and invaded on all 3 sides. It will take about 3 weeks, but Israel will beat back the invaders and take the West Bank, Gaza, a good portion of Jordan, a chunk of Syria, and the southern parts of Lebanon.

This time Israel will NOT give back the land after peace treaties are signed, no matter how loudly the Arab states stomp their feet and hold their breaths. They started a war. You start a war and lose the war, you lose territory as punishment for starting a war. That’s one of the oldest precepts of international law.

This time Israel will claim complete control over the Temple Mount. They will not destroy the mosques there, but there will be no more punishing Jews for praying when on the Mount. The scientists will be able to stop the illegal destruction of Jewish artifacts on the Mount and start planning for building a 3rd Temple.

Most prophecy watchers are looking for Isaiah 17: 1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. We are also looking for EZE 38-39 to happen. This is the war of Gog and Magog.
I would suggest that ā€œprophecy watchersā€ might be better served by keeping in mind the purported visions of Pope St. Pius X. These have been confirmed by their partial fulfillment: they predicted the retirement of a pope who would share a name with Giuseppe Sarto and who would continue to live in Vatican City.

Pius X’s visions are very negative for Vatican City and the two popes. Let’s pray that they are not completely fulfilled.

If the interpretation that the two predictions do not refer to the same person is accepted, then these ā€œvisionsā€ actually predicted the retirement of a pope who would share a name with Giuseppe Sarto.
That has happened.
Of course, this interpretation has been made after the fact. But the two visions attributed to Pius X appeared on the internet well before Pope Benedict XVI announced his retirement in 2013. In my opinion, that has to count for something. Let’s hope, due to the very negative predicted outcomes, that you are right and I am wrong.

what bothers me is that catholics have so much faith in visions and prophecies coming out of the catholic church and no faith at all in the prophecies that are in the bible.
Didn’t you just get out of suspension?

What bothers me is that you are violating the TOS repeatedly by showing disrespect for the Catholic religion and proselytizing for your views on threads that are outside the Non-Catholic Religions forum and are seeking Catholic views, not Protestant untruths.

what is your point?
You show no desire to abide by the ToS of the site and are on track to get suspended again is my point.

What bothers me is that you have so little knowledge about Catholicism yet you continue to come to a Catholic message board and hurl insuts that stem from your ignorance of Catholicism.
