I don’t see any incredibly complex and deep reasons as to why there is hatred between Serbs and Croats. It really appears to be incredibly simple: There was one Slavic tribe which migrated into the area about 1400 years ago. One part of them chose the Roman Catholic religion and the others chose the Eastern Orthodox religion. That is the only main difference between the two. And the hatred between the two stems mainly from the religious difference between this one Slavic family.

I think that the religious difference between the Croats and the Serbs is a simple mater. One has chosen Roman Catholicism, and the other has chosen Eastern Orthodoxy.

Ireland is a bad example, because the British invaded Catholic Ireland, expropriated land in the north and enslaved the Irish Catholics in their own country. This was not the case between the Serbs and the Croats. Both came from the same Slavic origins and both speak a language which is pretty much the same, although it is written in different alphabets. So what is the major difference between them? As far as I can see, it is only the question of one being RC and the other being EO? Didn’t they split up and separate basically along these religious differences?

What about the spectacular and wonderful history. You might get this book in the library - I bought it 2nd hand on Amazon : Ireland and the Foundations of Europe by Benedict Fitzpatrick. Also there is the book How the Catholic Church built Western Civilization by Dr Thomas E Woods Jr PhD.

No, no, no this cannot be denied. Ireland, that little island produced marvellous people. The Irish Monks built Monasteries in Europe (and England) and had influence in Education, Law/Justice, Human rights, Science, etc. etc. etc. What a great nation!. I am not Irish but I take my hat off to them.

It is about time these things were brought into the open and acknowledged. also look at the contribution of the Irish in the US.

Why have so many people neglected their Catholic faith? On the other hand, I read that Islam is growing by leaps and bounds. The Muslims in our area have five or six children per family. Do Muslims love having children more than European Catholics do?

It is BIG Money  to enrich a tery few  at the Top  at work,  even controlling the USA  government Directly, with this administration..                              It promotes selfishness, Me,  myself, materrialism, which has radically reduced birth rates to far below replacement.  Is   why Ireland, Europe  and USA are being swamped by third world cheap workers. 
                                                                                            Muslims and third world ethnicities continue high  reproductive rates,  as we used to.                                                               


                                                                        The answer to your post is that Big Money   taking over Rule of the World.   And Is the reason for entire USA  Financial Base, economy  totaly collapsing recently   More dangerously than the Great  Deppression.      Cause was massive  regulation  removal, as in 1980's administration. Same results, except worse now.

But all news not bad. The Catholic Church is by Far the fastest growing in the USA, growing by .57 % 2007, National Council of Churches February 2008 data relelease.

Its certainly good news but its due to immigration and not conversion.
The Catholic Church is also the fastest growing in Africa.
In Asia it is growing but I’m not sure if its the fastest or not.

Again, the secular “ME” generations have dropped reproductive rates of whites below replacement. Ethnicities continue high reproductive rates: Hispanic culture, Muslim, Black.

A recent Nationally recognized Hero, Friend of mine at Church gave his life to save the life of his 21 year old downs syndrome son, who fell into Family Farm septic tank. Viet War Carrier Pilot veteran, and 100% all humbly saving others At Church, with 7 Sons, the oldest being a Priest. His 6 Other sons fathered 48 Grandchildren in that Ideal Catholic Family. One son is current Marine Lieutenant, the other Marine is First Lieutenant

Thousands attended his Viewing, and Many thousands his Lifetime classic Funeral, assisted by 80 priests. Fr Vander Woude, his Son, celebrated the Funeral Mass. Bishop Louverde assisted, only Incensing the Massive congregation. I Ushered all.

48 Grandchildren, by One great All helping others Couple, and 6 great married sons!

Living in Christ in traditional Holy Trinity Catholic Church, always helping Others, Not self, produces Ideal Families, quite the opposite of troubled ME couples.

Have you not heard the report of an Imam who told an Anglican priest that by the end of this century all the great cathedrals will be mosques?

When the priest asked why the response was, “Because we have children and you don’t”. The culture of death is bound to have serious consequences. We have got to remember this and reflect on it.

Europeans are not even reproducing themselves - one child families are also common.

Only a truly strong Catholic Christian Faith and firm commitment will turn this around!

In our Christian world - and I mean all Christians - there is a reasonableness but in the Muslim world there is blind rigid faith with little reasoning. There is hatred and a militancy which is dangerous - mass hysteria is prevalent.

On the other side of the coin there are many gentle and good Muslim people but they do not have a central authority and the far left is uncompromising and harsh. Murder is not murder if it is against a non-muslim. They think they are justified in killing the “infidels”.

We need to get down on our knees and pray that God will give us the grace to strengthen our Faith and that we must really live it. Uncompromisingly and firmly.

No. They just have more children. Is their culture, like Ours used to be. We got secularized into “Fun, Party, Me” culture of selfishness, widelly publicised. Women are going for “My Career, what I want.”. Same guys.

Islam is a very demanding and rather enforced practice, culturally. But Second generation Muslims in the new world show definite digns of weakening in practise. I have muslim friends who say so.

The story I told only illustrates the fact that our european population is diminishing while theirs is growing. We can surely imagine the consequences of this. Also, why are we not having more children? Because it is inconvenient and if we fall pregnant we kill unborn the children in our womb through abortion. A lady from Arizona was telling me of a recent conversation she had with a man who said that an unborn child is not a person until it is born - that what unborn children actually are are just growths!! Can you imagine that? My friend was so traumatised by this that she couldn’t put it out of her mind for days!:nope: :bigyikes:

If we do not have respect for life then we are doomed…

In our culture there is a tendency towards relativism and secularism. With affluence we feel more powerful and tend to rely on ourselves (we are our own god!) Faith is for the “weak” we think. We have no need for it.

There is some truth in what you say but… Have you not noticed that sometimes their children are used as millitary fodder? They indoctrinate them in believing that our society is evil and must be eliminated and they offer their children as suicide bombers and the like.

I am sure that they love their children. - but what kind of love is that? Is it not a distortion of love? However, how often do you hear Muslims speak up and censure terrorists? Look at the mass hysteria when a cartoon is released! Look at the terrible reaction when Rushdie wrote that book “The Satanic Verses”? Have you not read in the media of Fathers and Uncles who have killed their young women who dare to choose to marry for love? How these young women are treated by their families? If a woman is raped she becomes the perpetrator!!! She is punished!!! Men in their society have the upper hand! Look how women are forced to cover themselves from head to foot - I often think that this is an easy way for wanted persons to get about undetected. The whole thing is ugly.

Despite that, we are told to love our neighbour and we consider the whole of mankind our brothers and sisters. So we love them and do our best to treat them as equals. My husband and I had a school for vocational training - systems development. We trained and placed in jobs all our successful students. We treated people on merit - we employed two Jahovah’s Witnesses - we trained people of all races and religions fairly and we treated our students based on individual merit also. No discrimination.

But that is not what we can expect from them I am afraid. They will defend their own at all cost.

                                                                                           Please do not misrepresent another faith,, even a little.   Extremes happen with all faiths.  The Problem is false politics, bot religion.  One of Our Presidents, for No reason, threatened and Did conquer a couple of Muslim  Countries, for  Political reasons, saying that he wanted to  see the "Today"  show on their TV.                                                                                 The children for 'cannon  fodder'  happenned in another false war instigated by one of Our Presiodents  in the 1980's, for political control reasons, there, in an all out war for survibval, between 2 Muslim  Country Neighbors.  It was a war for survival. Extremes happen in wars.

Islam abhors using children in war, or anything iimproper. PLease do not confuse religion and Politically motivated wars.

History shows Religion is alwaysd used in power and control motivated wars.
