again every word proceeding out of your fingertips is sda. i have friends that are sda. at least they can admit it. we may disagree on doctrine, but they and i are honest where we stand. also what do you know of the law, except bits and pieces? do you know what to do if you cannot get wine for a high festival? or what to do i you suspect you wife is cheating on you? we are supposed to follow the law correct? shall we stone people for being gluttons since they are an “abomination?” what part of the law would you like to discuss. im sure some of our Jewish brothers and sisters would love to comment here. and i for one would love to see them completely out manuever you. peace.
How many times do I have to tell you people that I am not of the SDA denomination?

If you follow God, then you are a spiritual Jew, therefore, you are to follow the Laws that God gave them

I read that whole rather tedious article, so what is the beef?
Is someone argueing for saturday Sabath? Or for Sunday ?
What is thepurpose of the thread?

I agree with you. If ANYONE should keep the Sabbath in the Bible, then yes it should be done correctly.
that is good. i for one feel very comfortable going to a synagouge. sitting in the gentile section, and reciting the prayers with my Jewish bretheren. followed by a sabbath study with them on saturday. followed by a wonderful Catholic Mass to bring everything to its rightful conclusion. its an amazing experience. peace

ok, then quit dodging. what do you do if you cannot find wine for a high festival? since you follow the law you must know. also when was the last time you went up to jerusalem to sacrafice? do you celebrate the Jewish holidays? if you are requireing someone to keep the mosaic law, then you are on thin ice. because you then must practice it perfectly. for by it you are going to be judged. just thought you might want to know. thank you no. i will go by what Christ and the Church he set up teaches. for one thing, the Cross is not a burdensome thing, for another i dont think i could keep over six hundred laws. what is it six hundred seventy three? i cant remember. 🤷 peace

I cannot believe that I was born and raised in Chicago so close to the Jewish community and I didn’t know there was a gentile section at the Synangouge. I bet it was an amazing experience. You should tell us all about it sometime! It sounds like a weekend event. If you feel like it, you might want to consider starting a thread about your experience. I bet I’m not the only one interested 🙂

hi sawman. the adeventist are prophecying that there will come a time in which the government will impose sunday as a national day of rest. and if you do not adhere you will be persecuted. sunday is the mark of the beast in their view. just a quick scan. an adventist can come on here an explain it better. 🙂 peace to you.

I read the articles.
The following matter (excepting the footnotes, the editor’s note in brackets beginning on page 25 and ending on page 27, and the two Appendixes) is a verbatim reprint of these editorials, including the title on page 2.
Now Truth Seeker123, what did you get out of those ‘articles’?

Even though the articles mentioned the SDA several times, there is a new Church that worships on Saturdays, that started since those articles were written, and that’s the Messianic Jews (with a variation of other names as it’s not a singular Church, as with Protestantism, there are several ‘sects’.)

Also, it wouldn’t surprise me to see any number of ‘new’ Churches with contempt for the Catholic Church adopt the Old Testament Sabbath in another attempt to castigate the Catholic Church, in their minds.

I just thought people should read it.

that depends on the synagouge. the more liberal Jewish congregations, may let you actually sit an pray with them. good to go see a rabbi first before you attend tho. that way he can set you up with someone that will help guide you through the worship service. its intense. meditation and study play a huge part in Jewish life as well as Catholic. i have been so blessed that i have a priest whos mothers side is Jewish, and he studies the more mystical aspects of Judaism. i was studying those before i ever met him. i dont think some meetings are coincidental. lol!🙂

That the Sabbath was changed by the cc, but God’s Law still stand and we are still under the Law (the entire Law)

Thanks, Benedict. Truthseeker123, Why did you want us to read the article? I pretty much agreed with the Catholic Church’s position. It would seem that the SDA’s and others tend to keep the old testament Sabath. Imperfectly.

ok, then do you keep the law. do you bind the law on your forhead and right hand? do you where the prayer shawl. do you know why the fringes of the prayer shawl are sky blue? do you light the shabbat candles on friday? do you stick to the dietary laws. do you understand the laws reguarding polygamy, and if one of your wives is not as loved as the other, then her son is the one to inherit your goods? shall i go on? im not trying to be negative towards you. i just think you have no concept of what the law entails. and what you are trying to subject yourself to. please enlighten me. do you follow these laws? peace.

The Sabbath is still Saturday. The Catholic Church changed Saturday? Is Saturday now March? I still have Saturday’s on my callendars…but, then again, I got my callendars from various Catholic Church’s so, of course, they WOULD still have Saturday on there…

I’M ON TO YOU, CATHOLIC CHURCH!!! I SEE WHAT YOU’RE DOING!!! CHANGING SATURDAYS INTO…SOMETHING!!! HEY! WHY DON’T YOU DO US ALL A FAVOUR, SINCE YOU CHANGED SATURDAYS, CAN YOU CHANGE MONDAY’S TOO? IN FACT, LET’S BRING BACK SATURDAY AND PUT IT WHERE MONDAY USED TO BE. ~Thank you.

truth seeker. are you going to answere any of us or are you just going to run off an start another thread?🤷

You are not asking out of curiosity.

2 Peter 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

im trying to be patient with you. and i think im doing a pretty good job so far. you are seeking truth, but when someone gives you truth, you cant handle the truth! are you basing your views off your own understanding? do you want to find the truth or are you just trying to stir controversy? we are giving you truth. you have stopped up your ears and keep shouting NO NO NO! this doesnt fit with my preconceived notions! open your ears open your heart. and see what others are trying to say to you. i will pray that the Lord causes the scales to fall from your eyes and that you will stop trying to kick against the goads. its too hard. peace be to you.🙂

If your patience is running short with me, then for your own sake you should stop directing your post toward me and ignore me for a while. I don’t remember saying, “hey benidict, this one is for you.” Until you regain your patience for me, when you see Truth Seeker123, you should avoid me. That’s just my opinion

I think it is funny though. I post scripture, you post it back to me (sometimes), and when I post scripture back saying that you are wrong, you get mad because obviously we both have scripture to support our claim but many times your claims make the Bible contradict itself.

Then, many more of you come in and expect me to respond to you all, when most of the time you aren’t even saying anything relevant to the topic. Like this one:D

Questioning my denomination, my intelligence and so on. I start threads talking about the Bible and keeping it off of a personal level and they all end up worthless and off topic so I leave.

Even one of your catholic members called you all “know-it-alls” who only wanted to flaunt your knowledge and take up thread space from those who actually want to talk about the topic at hand. Don’t even think about asking me who. That’s just something else you will find to pick at.

Because like my denomination, I won’t tell you.

No, it’s because you post scripture, you’re answered in scripture to show you are incorrect and misinformed, and then you post scripture that is of a different topic that has nothing to do with the original topic. Basically, because you are proved wrong, you go to another topic. You can not respond to everybody because you would have to conceed that they are right, so, if you pretend to ignore it, you can stay in your comfort zone. If you cared about how much you are hurting Christ and the Trinity, you would abandon your pride and become Catholic.

Request for future threads: Would the original poster in a thread please use a subject line that actually describes, in some way, the topic of the thread? 🙂

If you say so then that makes it fact…🙂
