Why must something have utility for it to happen?

Neutrinos are the epitamy of non-useful science and yet they still exist.

If the amazon jungle climate slowly changed into the same climate of Canada, could evolution evolve jungle plants and animals to cope with a icy environment ?

Yes. Literally. Same exact process.
Oh is that so?

There is no known relationship between macroevolution and microevolution. How do you know that these small changes we see today lead to drastic changes that have never been observed?

Also, I like how you’ve moved on from saying that evolution doesn’t happen to saying that it’s not useful.

Because there is a massive load of evidence showing that evolution happens.

The study of atomic and sub-atomic particles is practical and useful. Computer chips are reaching a size reduction limit and an understanding of atomic particle physics is paving the way for advances in materials design and methods for practical applications. Nanotechnology is in use.

There are lots of fields of practical science. There’s also lots of pure research being done.

What does any of this have to do with evolution?

Where did I write “evolution doesn’t happen”? I did write that I accept everything the Church actually teaches about this subject.

Not only do I think that you do not understand evolution, you don’t appear to understand how positivism itself works.

Not going to happen. Dramatic changes in climate are not considered. We are being asked to ‘focus on this but not that.’ It is the only way to sell ‘evolution’ to Catholics in the pews.

Over many generations, yes, yes it’s possible. They’d have to genetic mutations which possess the characteristics which you state. Many species die out though when there is rapid environmental changes in a short period of time.

I’m not signing anything. I don’t accept the version being peddled here. The totally atheist version. Science is not god - any god. Science - as currently constituted - cannot include anything supernatural. Catholics should recognize that. It is incomplete.
