I don’t know what EES is. Nor do I know what they said at the Royal Society.

Why do you immediately jump to intelligent design being correct just because Evolution isn’t a complete explanation of everything?

I’m not sure you know how the scientific method works.

It isn’t wrong. It states what the Catholic Church states. The Catholic Church doesn’t say that the universe 6000 years old. It literally doesn’t. It even literally says genesis is allegory and not the literal truth.

I didn’t jump to ID. For you to successfully argue on behalf of evo being correct you should at least know what EES is. Perhaps it would be better to actually observe these conversations and see the claims of both sides before you immerse yourself into the argument.

I can only conclude that you are one of those that believes the standard talking points of evolutionists are correct without question. You place your total trust in them uncritically.

Catholic Answers must be wrong, right?
They don’t say. They leave it up to you.

We want YOU to say. The fact that you won’t is really amazing. How can you believe something so strongly yet be afraid to admit it?

I’m not writing this for effect: I really am astounded.

Yeah, you did. You’ve repeatedly promoted intelligent design views on this website. You keep spamming everyone with your pro-intelligent design conspiracy blog too.

I don’t need to be an expert to accept the results of science.

There is no mandate that I treat intelligent design with the same legitimacy as science.

What I do and do not believe is irrelevant. Evolution happens regardless of what anyone believes.

Evolution doesn’t happen because people think it happens, it happens regardless of what anyone thinks.

What’s wrong with accepting facts?

You claimed I did so in that particular post. I did not.

Yes, I do promote ID, the philosophy and ID, the science here and make no apologies.

As long as you understand science is provisional. I have clearly showed you we are in the midst of a paradigm shift. You still will keep your head in the sand and ignore it.

Micro evolution happens rather you or me like it or not. That is fact.

It was never changed. You’re literalist interpretation has always been wrong.
Do you agree with this from the link you cited?

Catholics are at liberty to believe that creation took a few days or a much longer period, according to how they see the evidence, and subject to any future judgment of the Church (Pius XII’s 1950 encyclical Humani Generis 36–37).

You are good with words, I’ll give you that. And prodding people.

A flag post is waiting for you. Stop making accusations about people. Argue the post not with the poster.

Buffalo: I didn’t promote intelligent design in that particular post
Also Buffalo:But I do promote intelligent design in a bunch of other posts

Just because science is provisional, doesn’t mean that intelligent design is correct whatsoever.

I never said that evolution doesn’t happen. You’re the one who keeps saying evolution isn’t happening, not me.

Yes, Catholics should use their brains and actually attempt to learn for themselves. The Church shouldn’t be spoon feeding people knowledge or telling people what to think.

How old do you think the universe is?

You literally said that it’s okay to be anti-science, anti-intellectual and anti-evolution. Why is that okay, but it’s not okay for me to be pro-science, pro-intellectual and pro-evolution?

I accept what the Church teaches regarding this subject. Science cannot provide the full, complete answer. The Church can and does. But just keep posting and experience a bit of infinity.
