Do you mean to suggest that if the Bible is twisted then a certain interpretation to suit and made to fit can be made and should be made compatible to real[Godless] Evolution.
I’m not sure what you mean by “real evolution” (is this as opposed to “fake evolution”…?). I am a real evolutionsist in that I hold organic evolution to be the best scientific explanation for the various life forms on earth. I’m also a real creationsist in that I believe in the Christian doctrine that God is the Creator of all things besides himself.
Regarding the proper interpretation of scripture in the light of science, I would point out, for example, that Christians once nearly unanimously believed that the earth was the center of the universe based upon a particular reading of Psalm 93:1-2:
"…Yea, the world is established; it shall never be moved; thy throne is established from of old; thou art from everlasting."
Thus, Christians asserted, the earth could no more orbit the Sun than could God’s very throne be moved from its place. Sounds reasonable, doesn’t it? And so it seemed, until the facts of science demonstrated that the earth
does indeed move, that it certainly
does orbit the Sun. Now Christians were faced with a choice. Would they:
- a) Cling to their long-held interpretation in direct contradiction of known material facts, or
- b) Modify their personal interpetations to conform to the known facts of the physical universe?
This is the very same decision faced by so-called “biblical creationsists” today.
…real Evolutionists want nothing to do with phony/pseudo Christian evolutionists…
Not sure what this even means. Evolution is evolution. There’s no such thing as “Christian evolution,” any more than there’s such a thing as “Christian gravitation” or “Christian photosynthesis.”
