Again JimmyDFG that is twisting what is said to suit an agenda.

Tell me, as the Old Testament is the recorded Word of God. Why have the Jews not accepted Jesus as the Christ? Is the Word wrong or did the Jewish Religion miss something?

You are well aware the Baha’i hold to all Truth in all the Revealed Words of God as explained by Baha’u’llah.

Likewise the Sacrafice of Christ and the Resurection of Christ is 100% believed using the keys of meaning given by Baha’u’llah.

Regards Tonyb
Tony, What makes you think history keeps on repeating itself?
We’re given live (if we choose) if we believe in Christ and his Resurrection.
What more can a man named mírzá husayn-`alí núrí add to the final Revelation?

The ‘connection’ between the Baha’i Faith and other religions is a prophetic thread that links all of them as all having been sent by the same God. Judaism is connected to Christianity as it was expecting a Messiah and that was Jesus. Christianity is connected to Islam in that Muhammad in numerous places is prophesied in the Bible by both Moses and Jesus.

The Bahai Faith is linked to all of them as the Jewish Faith is also waiting for the ‘Lord of Hosts’ Christians await Christ, Muslims await The Great Announcement.

In the Hindu faith Krishna says at a time of irreligion He returns to destroy evil and renew the principles of religion and Buddhist await a Buddha called AmitABHA which is a derivative of the name Baha.

All these links are links established in the Holy Books of God in thousands of years of scripture and not just a nice idea put together by some clever man or people.

The Bahai Faith is the long awaited One Shepherd and One Fold prophesied by Christ and not just a nice conglomeration of ideas which some think

All the religions, not just Christianity have been awaiting Baha’u’llah. He is the Promised One foretold by Isaiah and Ezekial.

God made a COVENANT with all religions that He would send Baha’u’llah. Now God fulfills His Covenant has man remained faithful to their covenant with God??

Bahaullah is not just a clever man with some good ideas but the Promised One Whose Covenant God has established with all the peoples of the world in all their Holy Books.

It is now for the peoples of the world to live up to their own covenants God made with them.

Luke24:25-27
25 Then he said to them, 'You foolish men! So slow to believe all that the prophets have said!

26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer before entering into his glory?’

27 Then, starting with Moses and going through all the prophets, he explained to them the passages throughout the scriptures that were about himself.

Now keep in mind what Jesus said about false Prophets…
Matthew 24:11 " Many false prophets will arise; they will deceive many,"

And in Matthew 24:24
“for false Christs and false prophets will arise and provide great signs and portents, enough to deceive even the elect, if that were possible.”

This sounds like Mírzá Ḥusayn-`Alí Núrí ( Baha u llah ) because he was born November 12th 1817

And in Matthew 24:27
" because the coming of the Son of man will be like lightning striking in the east and flashing far into the west"

“All the religions, not just Christianity have been awaiting Baha’u’llah” Thanks for the warning…but I don’t believe you

Imo, this thread most important question is to compare it to Islam. And how the latter treats the followers of the Bahai and each find a way to find peace between themselves first.

They’ll come back with how the Jews didn’t recognize Jesus

I don’t want you to believe me. You follow the Bible that’s all that i hope.

"Christian faith cannot accept “revelations” that claim to surpass or correct the Revelation of which Christ is the fulfillment, as is the case in certain non-Christian religions and also in certain recent sects which base themselves on such “revelations”.

That statement would appear that you do not wish to explore Baha’i Faith. To me your post just echo’s the past rejection of Christ.

So you would expect a Jew who did not believe in Christ come on to a Post about exploring Christianity and post much like this

The Jewish Faith can not accept people claiming to be the Messiah for these reasons;

The Messiah will rule at a time when all the people of the world will come to acknowledge and serve the one true G-d (Zechariah 3:9, 8:23,14:9,16; Isaiah 45:23, 66:23; Jeremiah 31:33; Ezekiel 38:23; Psalm 86:9; Zeph. 3:9).

When the Messiah is reigning as King of Israel, the Jews will be ingathered from their exile and will return to Israel, their homeland (Deut. 30:3; Isaiah 11:11-12; Jeremiah 30:3, 32:37; Ezekiel 11:17, 36:24)

There will be universal disarmament and worldwide peace with a complete end to war (Micah 4:1-4; Hoseah 2:20; Isaiah 2:1-4, 60:18).

Now of great interest is that in all those passages fulfillment can be Found in Baha’u’llah. 😉

I think now time to leave you with it JimmyDFG, unless you actually ask a question that is about exploring what and why we believe. 🤷

Hi Jimmy

Can you show which verse states that a true Prophet cannot be born and be given a birthdate??

Where is all this un-Biblical falsehood coming from? It is the elect that has deceived you it seems…

In relation to lightening, I would suggest you consider not such a literal reading.
Did you know His Return is also in the clouds?

What is your understanding of the meaning of clouds?

Do you think Jesus will literally return from the sky through some clouds?

.

Why is the Holy Trinity a mystery for you Servant? Maybe because you don’t believe? From my understanding the concept of the Holy Trinity is inconsistent and repugnant to the baha’i theology. They attribute the Christian belief in this doctrine to misinterpretation of the Bible.
Servant do you believe that Christ’s promise of another Comforter refers not to the coming of the Holy Spirit, but to the coming of mírzá husayn-`alí núrí?

You believe baptism is not done by water …but by Spirit alone. But you don’t believe in the Holy Spirit?

How can it be Jesus , mírzá husayn-`alí núrí , muhammad …and all the others when they contradict each other? Believing in all of them further adds to the confusion.

Jesus said in John 14:6-7
6" I am the Way; I am Truth and Life. No one can come to the Father except through me."

7" If you know me, you will know my Father too. From this moment you know him and have seen him"

Where is the equivalent to this in bahaism?
Again dear Jimmy.

Where is all this false conclusions coming from???

The Baha’i Faith totally affirms the Trinity, it recognises Jesus is God, yet explains why God being Incarnated is un-Biblical, for as it is said, no one has seen God, and also neither the heavens or the earth can contain God.

The Baha’i Faith believes in the Holy Spirit, totally and without reservation.

The Baha’i Faith believes in baptism by implicit desire, no need for a literal immersion, otherwise why does the Church not baptise with fire?

Jesus said He is the Way.
I believe in that, and find no contradiction in believing that Baha’u’llah IS Jesus.

Here is what Baha’u’llah stated:

“He that hath Me not is bereft of all things. Turn ye away from all that is on earth and seek none else but Me”

.

Who? The Jews?

Whether they read it or not is irrelevant to the similarity of history and how the opposition to Prophets is repeated each and every time…

.
The Jews are our elder brothers. It’s their choice. But we love them all the same. They ARE THE Chosen People regardless whether they read the NT.

MJ

You get no arguments from me 🙂

But what was the point you were making about treatment of Baha’is?

As we Love them, the Christians and the Muslims dear Brother in God 😉

No matter what all choose!
